I had the Coupe version. Real petrol guzzler, you needed a petrol tanker always to be travelling behind.

Wondered if there were any famous cars from old shows or just an old classic that you would love to have.

Number one on my list has to be the Consul GT from The Sweeney.

    Screenshot_20251231-181505_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20251231-181645_Gallery.jpg

Followed by the Vauxhall Cresta in the Ghost Town video.

That’s my car, in Ghost Town, they hired it for the video.
It’s still about. Was in the 2 Tone museum in Coventry but believe it’s in a car museum now

Wonder which cars the current generation would dream of owning Jaecoo, maybe Changan or Byd?

Many years ago I was an HGV mechanic, and I worked for Tankfreight Ltd by the Blackwall Tunnel. Part of my duties was to inspect and present ADR Tankers for test at Purfleet GVTS. The drawing vehicle I used to use was a Scammell Crusader with front mounted side exit exhaust.
The exhaust tailpipe was like a howitzer. The engine of the Crusader  was a Rolls Royce Eagle 2 coupled to a Fuller Roadranger 13 speed gearbox.
Returning from Purfleet one afternoon along the A13, and about to turn left towards the Blackwall Tunnel a person was in a C3, deerstalker hat with a tweed cape was in the lane going straight on to towards town.
Just as I turned left I had to double de-clutch and blip the throttle to get my get my gear, so a whoosh of black smoke exits the exhaust just as the fellow in the C3 is alongside. The poor soul was nearly blown into the next lane before disappearing into the darkness of the smoke.
    Never saw another one .

Yes and looking at the image of it in the museum, it looks to be only the bodywork?

I actually owned one of my dream cars for about 7 years, seen here at a cars and coffee meet!

Wish I hadn’t sold it, but the sea air where we lived was starting to cause electrical problems, so I got shot as soon as that started!

Depending on the year, some of them had degradable wiring harnesses.

First registered in 1990. I bought her when she was 24 years old with only 120.000km on the clock.

I have never owned a car nor lusted after one. I do think the E-type convertible is beautiful but I’ll take a Ducati 916 all day long.

Having owned this for 29 years, would take a lot for me to switch to something else (although a series 1 E-Type might sway me). Nothing better than taking it out for a spin on a sunny weekend morning.

The Delahaye 135 S held the title of Britains's  fastest road car after winning at Brooklands in 1939. One sold for £1m in a Sotheby auction in 2024. Sharing my name with the car it would be my dream car if I had a million to splash out - alas I can only afford Delahaye pin badges and vintage posters off Ebay.

Not a Delahaye, of course, but these are a blast from the past and look fun. Not quite as expensive either!

Tested 2026 Pembleton Motor Company T24 - Full review price features Autocar

Always fancied a go in a Morgan 3 wheeler, as recommended by Freddie Flintoff.

1971 Ford Bronco, as seen in an episode of Dutton Ranch. I'll take the passenger seat.
