Leicester City are only the fourth club to be relegated to the third tier less than 20 years after winning the championship.
Portsmouth, 1961, 11 years after winning
    Derby County, 1984, 9 years
    Leeds United, 2007, 15 years
    Leicester City, 2026, 10 years

I know what you mean, but you should probably change this to “Top Flight League Title” bearing in mind the name of the current 2nd tier competition.

Call them the National league champs? Oh wait...

League 1 champs? No that won't do...

In 2003-4 when Leicester were playing in the Premier league (as were Charlton), Bromley were playing in the Isthmian league division one south.

Before the start of this EPL season, Wolves were 20th, by virtue of alphabetical order. They haven’t changed position all season.

I saw someone say that the other day, but it was pointed out it's not true. They were 19th after 2 games:

Rochdale finished this season on 106-points - they still have never won a League they've been promoted from

Only Sheffield Wednesday and Tottenham Hotspur in the four divisions have failed to win in 2026.
Which means that Macclesfield Town have beaten Premier League opposition more often in 2026 than Spurs have.
Congratulations to Spurs on having now matched the number of Premier League sides beaten in 2026 by Macclesfield.

Apparently the starting eleven for Horsham in the National League South weekend, was made up of players who'd all made over 100-appearances for the club - At any level thats impressive if so, at Non-League level, thats ridiculous

Retford and Retford United both play in the United Counties League Division One, both recorded over 100-pts this season

As have Redcar Athletic and Redcar Town. Incredible that four teams would make that list whose names begin 'Re'.

6 levels below the EFL, the two Retford sides are in a division where one goes up automatically. So Retford United having got 103 points face a playoff final against a club that got only 82. Ouch.

Should combine both clubs, would easily get 200 pts for the season.

Billy Sharp, at the age of 40 and playing his final game for Doncaster, has just completed his hat-trick. Just goes to prove that the legs might go but you don't lose that knack of finding the net.

Fulham have never beat Arsenal away whether that be at the Manor Ground Plumstead, Highbury or the Emirates.

Ipswich only lost one game at home all season and no other club in the Championship can match that. The team that beat them scored three goals that day and they, in turn, only managed to find the net three or more times in one of their other 45 matches.

Lincoln are unbeaten in 29 games and the points tally from that run alone would have been enough to get into the play offs. 😎

Clapton CFC vs Rayleigh Town had an attendance of 2,375 on the weekend
It was the Play-Off Final for the Eastern Counties League Division One South, tier six of Non-League Football
The games attendance was higher than three Saudi Pro League games from the same weekend

Is that the football hotbed that is hosting the world cup in eight years time?  :(

Orebro are currently 2nd (out of 16) in the Swedish second tier despite being the lowest scorers in the entire division.
