Arsenal V Athletico Madrid on Amazon Prime tonight.
Prime have a stadium noise only mode, which is usually great for games like this when you don't want to listen to Shearer, but the problem then is you can hear the Emirates crowd better and I think I'd rather sandbelt my own ears off than listen to 90 mins of that

I've solved the problem by not watching the bloody thing.

Nice run by Godden's former strike partner to start that move.

Too busy looking for contact to go down instead of just shooting

Think that's the most ineffective performance i've seen from Lookman for a long time.

Come on Atletico. We can't let these super League wankers get to the final

This is weird because, Palace aside, I generally want the English team to win in Europe. At worst, I’m just not that bothered, even when it’s Chelsea or Liverpool.
But I really don’t want Arsenal to win this. They’re just so unlikeable.

    Why?
I "hate" very many clubs, but Arsenal I'm ok with.

To be honest, I think it’s Arteta that does it for me.

Does the thing about managers staying in the technical area not apply in Champions League semi's?

Apparently not, both of them dancing about the touchline like a pair of Nathan Jones wannabes

Surely they get tonked by either Bayern or PSG

They earned the right by winning the league phase so fair play to them but their run to the final has been the easiest in history. A better team would've knocked Arsenal out.

2 piss poor quarter finals with Sporting. And 2 not much better semi finals with Atletico. Very little quality on display at all given the level they're at.

For the good of all people out there who enjoy watching decent football, i hope whoever wins tomorrow night beats them in the final.

Ideally Harry Kane scores a hattrick.

My dad was an Arsenal fan so I'm happy enough with that. Gonna be an interesting final.

Weird that all the aggro was taking place on the touchline,  rather than one the pitch.

Athletico were pretty ordinary. Ben White had one of his best games for ages.

    You'd hope so.

But one off game, you never know.

Generally couldn’t give a shit about Champions League results, but was willing an Atletico equaliser at the end, just to see Simione do a Guy Luzon!

Wayne Rooney embarrassingly bad compared to the other three summarisers on the pitch. How does he keep getting these gigs?

    Also Sorloth was absolutely terrible.

    Useless Palace reject.

The more successful English clubs are the more attractive to investors they and other English teams are. If you want Charlton’s owners to put money into the club and back Nathan for instance then the bigger the carrot English football dangles the more they and others will keep moving forward; and the moment they decide they have gone as far as they want to go, someone else will want to take their place.

Arsenal getting to the final and preferably winning it is the key UEFA prize this season. Forest or Villa will take one spot in the final they are competing for and hopefully will also go on to win it.

‘Reason’ would have been to also say that English clubs winning alll three trophies, as it currently looks like we are heading for, would be an event bigger carrot to dangle but I couldn’t bring myself to write that as its palace

    Football's a funny old game.

I like to see English sides win in Europe including Arsenal, but I found the game dull (well at least the bits where I wasn't akip) oh, and I find Wayne Rooney dull.  In fact it was a dull fest.

Dunno if anyone caught the Hearts Rangers game the other day?  I never dropped off once during that.  A game of two halves where the right team won and the atmosphere was unbelievable!

Given the amount of money in English football, i think it'd probably be viewed as a failure if an English team doesn't reach the Europa and Conference league finals every single season now.

If this game is half as good as the first leg we’re in for a treat.
last week was up there with the best games I’ve ever seen.
