    Played in the same cricket team as Nicky Johns and the wife mum use to look after their kids .. knew him very well ..

    Loved that squad that he put together in 1985 & then through into 86, 87 & 88. Reid & Humphrey great full backs. Shirtliff, Pender & Thomo at Centre Half. Walsh & Lee out wide & then Melrose up front. Then add in Peake & McKenzie in midfield. Then he brought in Williams, Morts, Crooks & Miller
