Mate, that is insane running. After a couple of runs this weekend I struggled doing 8k!

    Just followed you on Strava!

    That is absolutely disgusting.

Got an adductor niggle ahead of running San Diego marathon in 3 weeks and then Race to the King 55km ultra two weeks after that. Worst possible time but doing all I can to rest up and trust the hard work was kind of done.

Half time at the Sixdays. 19,4 km in 1:53:43. My legs were good, the weather was perfect for running. We have to run 17,8 km tomorrow.

I did the San Diego half a few years ago. It's largely a beautiful course except for when I was running through construction by the airport. I was recovering from a cold, took too much cold medicine, absolutely dehydrated me and messed up my stomach, and I barely finished (don't even know my time).

All that aside, it's a lovely day out.

Just rest up. I know it's tough but you've got this!

Two more days to complete the Riesenbecker Sixdays. Today was a bit up and down. No steep hills but a rolling area. My time for the 17,4 km today 1:42:40. Tomorrow we'll have to run roughly 22 km.
    My finish photo from Monday.

Yesterday was day 5 of the Sixdays. It was really muddy and sometime slippery. You had to be very careful. I finished the 22,3 km in 2:13:34. My total after 99km is 9:53:19. The distance today is again roughly 22km. It will be really tough to end below the 12 hour mark.

You’re a machine Matthias! I’m too tired to go into the office 3 days in a row, let alone run half marathons!

Good luck on your final run

I like the idea of it but it feels like there's a lot of road crossings and waiting at traffic lights? I'll try that (the 55k) or re-do North Downs next month I think.

I finished the Riesenbecker Sixdays. Today was really hard and my legs felt very tired the last 5km. My time is 12:15:10 for the 121,6km. I think im doing it again in 2028.
Now I'll take a short break from running.
    The last 200 meters

Really pleased to achieve my ambition of breaking 30 minutes on my 75th birthday at Charlton Parkrun today.

Managed 29.25 which is 12 seconds slower than two weeks ago.

That's the ageing process, I suppose.......

Did one in Welsh Wales this morning.
The fact that it wasn’t raining made me not notice the stupid hills…

Run with an injury which was silly, but was my lad’s 50th so wanted to give him a cheer. He PB’d for third week in a row, so well chuffed for him

I had a fall during parkrun a month ago so have had to slowly rebuild confidence and times, which have been going to plan.  Today my legs felt really wobbly from the start so I was more than surprised and happy to be 17 seconds faster than last week.  So much for knowing your body !

Yep - did the 55km last year on one of those hottest days of the year.

I don't particularly remember many traffic lights and stuff as it intentionally follows much of the Green Chain walk which probably minimizes it.

I enjoyed it and there were plenty of new green spaces for me to explore but it did end up being pretty lonely in parts. Aid stations were pretty basic as well so I'd carry stuff you like if you decide on it.
