Ran the San Diego Rock n Roll Marathon yesterday in 4.15.

Not a great idea having been four weeks out injured, suffering from jet lag and having to walk/run the last 15km (including a 3 mile uphill stretch at mile 20).

But what a great way to see a new city. Was always going to get the medal and always feels good overcoming hard things, despite how painful it is at the time.
Well done. Sounds like a tough end. A shame as your training was going really well up till the injury.

Birthday celebrations in Edinburgh for me this weekend meant that I did some tourism and visited Edinburgh parkrun.  Not the closest to the city centre but a very worthwhile bus ride out to Silverknowes on the shores of the Firth of Forth.  A flat out and back run along the promenade with lovely views.  Probably the only parkrun where I will ever drink a can of Iron Bru afterwards!
