Please let this be true ……… Millwall mate , reckons that Aston Villa want to sign Azeez for 30 mill … which is mad enough but want TC to replace him … to say he unhappy is an understatement lol

Is he unhappy because Azeez is going or because TC is going to replace him or because you think he’s your mate?
I’m not sure which bit is the least believable which says it all really

Gomez played 6 games this season and has one year left on his contract. He either goes this summer or waits for a free next.
If he goes this summer I doubt they get much more than £15-20M sadly. We will still get a bit but not the budget boosting amount it would have been 3-4yrs ago.

No he didn't, he's played 31. He made 6 appearances in the Champions League alone

Name I had mentioned to me was Ziyad Larkeche, QPR left wing back that was on loan in the Scottish prem last season.

Spent most of this season out with a knee injury so sounds right up our street.

No appearances at all in 2025/26 after suffering an ACL in pre-season, sign him up!

It's fine, our other left wingback is always fit all the time and has absolutely no history of injuries at all

£30m for TC seems about right.

Vote this week on changing the financial rules for next season, will impact what we can spend. I think from a Charlton POV we will be voting against, I think our revenue is lower than most at this level so this would put us at a disadvantage if it passes

I suspect there will be enough teams similarly affected that it doesn't go through. I don't know much about this but my immediate concern would be this turns the Championship into a knock off Premier League with a set of "big teams" against each other and everyone else after the scraps from the table.

The big clubs get bigger and everyone else gets handicapped.

Yes I highly doubt it goes through. It would give the parachute teams an even larger advantage than they have now, as their revenues dwarf even the largest championship teams just from those parachutes

I think it’s likely something like this does come in future, but they’ve got to sort out the parachute payment imbalance first

He's good at this level but not good enough to make an impact in the Prem.

Please retract the misuse of this word, as an andycapped person, I feel deeply offended and believe it will limit my ability to get a cartoon strip in the future!

Looks like Joe Gomez may finally be on the move from Liverpool, shame he’s unlikely to go for anywhere near what was being reported a few years ago but still might be a nice boost to our budget.
He'll be injured in the next few weeks then.

The question is, was that our cost this season in the champ? Or the season prior?

I imagine our squad cost by the end of 25/26 would have been higher than Oxford, and possibly Pompey as well, and similar to Blackburn.

Crystal Palace could face serious competition from Aston Villa in the race to sign Millwall winger Femi Azeez after the Nigerian attacker’s outstanding Championship campaign, looks like a bidding war ? .

I refuse to believe that someone who’s been watching football for that long could be so wrong about the game in every single post match thread.

Just what a Millwall fan would say.

Not "supporting Charlton since 1968" but "going to the Valley since 1968".

    Yeah, as an away fan
