Hopefully he'll play well for CSK but they lose all their remaining matches, so he can leave asap. Their final regular match is Thursday 21st, the day before the Blast starts. Otherwise he'll barely play before there is a long gap to play 2 CC games.fenaddick said:
Clearly signing for Kent was the springboard Forrester needed. He’s just been signed by CSK in the IPL as a replacement for Jamie Overton. Both Stewart and Quinn were injured in training three or four weeks ago.LenGlover said:Grant Stewart must be injured.0 -
Disappointing but a couple of weeks carrying the drinks in the IPL is probably worth more to him than two months at Kent. And there is the add on of playing for an IPL franchise in the SA20 which is, unfortunately, the way of the cricketing world now.fenaddick said:

Gonna be a tough match. Two of their batters are on top form in Gay and Bedingham. Plus Raine will be rainin down the balls on our batters. Oh and of course the likes of Potts and stokes also play for them..
Should be fun..

I suspect that Ekansh has been preferred because Evison hasn't really done anything with the bat apart from one innings (172 runs at 21.50 average) or ball (9 wickets at 48.44). Ekansh (55 runs at 13.75) has found ways of getting out but with the ball has looked more threatening (5 wickets at 27.80) and is a yard or so already quicker than Evison.killerandflash said:

Last year, as I said, was a learning curve and this year is a transitional one. The fact that Dawkins and Ekansh, both just 19, are pushing for regular spots in the first team bodes well for the future.3 -
Yes, Ekansh has really come on as a player, whereas his namesake Jas doesn't look like he'll ever be good enough.Addick Addict said:

We haven't got another CC match for a month but there's going to be an interesting decision that Hollioake is going to have to make regarding the opening spots. Compton will be fit, Dawkins has just hit his second 50 in three innings and Crawley has a top score of 44 from 11 innings and an average of just 20.45 this season.
The issue is that should Kent drop Crawley then the likelihood is that he will be off somewhere else next season but also, could in theory, be sent by the ECB to another county this year. Much could depend on what Crawley does in the second innings in this match because a meaningful contribution could justify any decision to keep him in the side.0 -

Waited until he'd seen off the over but Ben Dawkins is coping fairly well with Stokes. Stokes himself looks in decent shape so it's great experience for Dawkins2
