    odd first round. Rico moves like a complete novice. lots of energy. Watching on a dodgy stream but DAZN biging this up like its a proper boxing fight.

    Rico needed to throw a punch after he was knocked down and resumed. Ref was told to protect him before the fight if it went like that

    didn't see the time. should of left it. then again most of this is staged.

    Utter rubbish.  Bell was saving him and ref knew usyk was going to lose on points if there wasn't a ko.

    Rico could have sat back a bit and claimed one of the biggest upsets in boxing. Massive shame how that ended.

    Seen the cards up to the stoppage, 2 judges had it a draw & the third had Rico 2 rounds ahead

    They're the scorecards after 10 rounds though and the 11th would've been 10-8 to Usyk, so he'd have then been winning.

    Just catching up with this thread, anyone who thought Dave Allen could beat Hrgovic or even trouble him needs to give their head a wobble 🤣

    Doesnt matter if there was 1 second left (Taylor vs Chavez) tge ref is there to protect fighters, though agree looked premature.

    If Usyk vs Rico 2 happens it end in 3/4 rounds to Usyk.

    I was semi-guilty of that, I don't have many fighters I'm emotionally attached to now however Dave Allen is one of them and I was guilty of overestimated advantages for him in fighting at home, Hrgovic being good but not necessarily elite tier, Dave Allen being a decent boxer when I should probably have seen the fight for what it was. A money maker for Dave Allen and a get back on track fight for Hrgovic also making decent money. I never got the hype with Johnny Fisher, he's another seemingly good bloke but a flat track bully 

    Anyway, treated myself to the fight/event from last night this morning. Rico had the proper kick boxer stance and the awkwardness that comes with it which caused a seemingly undercooked or off the boil Usyk some problems but the finish was probably the right call from the referee, kick boxers are fucking tough but he was going to get hurt in the next round regardless of a 60 second break and Usyk is a finisher. 

    If I was to be patronising I would lecture about how underdog bias comes into things but Rico genuinely boxed well, threw shots from odd angles and caused a problem then a lack of experience finally caught up with him. The world doesn't need to see it again

    Ordinarily I'd agree. 
    But I think along with Fury,Wilder and Joshua Usyk is past his best.
    We are about to see a new generation of heavyweights taking over.

    I re watched the fight, Rico was doing great and his unorthodox stance and tactics almost certainly had him in the lead... but he was absolutely blowing out of his arse in the 11th round, he was onnthe attack for so much its actually quite umpressive his stamina lasted so long. The call still feels early, but he did absolutely nothing after that uppercut to convince the reff he had anything more to give. 

    I think if the fight had gone ahead as planned with AJ, that hed have ended up winning.
