Apparently next season will be the first time ever the top division of English football won't have a team beginning with "W".
Oh hold on, I forgot Crystal Palace.

(posted on another thread, wish I'd posted it here)

60 "known choreographers" ordered to leave Leipzig.  Oops, sorry, it said troublemakers didn't it? Bloody autocorrect.

Do their mums know they're out?
How'd they get time off out of school ?

The damage was done with the filth winning the FA Cup.

Far too many Palace shirts around London Bridge on the way home tonight.

They were always going to win this competition after Uefa stopped any teams dropping down from the Europa league. Just waiting for them to pick a decent manager and qualify for the CL next as they appear to never be able to do wrong. We'll just have to get promoted and relegate them again

Yep, cant stand man city because of the way they failed to turn up in the final last year. Dont get me started on that long haired gimp Haaland for bottling taking that penalty

Turns out the Europa league debacle was the best thing to happen to them as they’ll get two years in Europe now. Difficult not to be very irritated by it.
They have to win tonight first.   come on Rayo Vallecano (whoever you are)!!
You just know they’re going to win tonight. Palace with an FA Cup & European trophy in consecutive seasons, what a dreadful situation.

I loathe then but couldn't give two shits about tonight. I'm pretty sure Charlton would win that caup if we entered and most PL teams would get to the closing stages of the Europa or whatever the second one is called now too.  It's not an achievement and means nothing imo
  • If Palace secure Europa League next season the ideas above their station will bore on yet longer. A Rayo win is required tonight.

I agree, whilst most other Prem team (apart from the big ones) have a period of decline,  since their promotion (Zaha getting pens) things have always gone favourably for them, whether be luck in changing their manager and avoiding the drop multiple times or a disputable call in the Cup Final (although be nice if the real City would have turned up).

To be fair the scouting under Dougie was very good and their good players have rarely dicked them over and stayed around for a while (note, Scott).

Even this season, their best ever manager says he is leaving, initially creating turmoil, yet they still limp to this final.

Since the late 80s, they always seem to have had a few stand out top class players.
Not sure it can be based solely on us playing them rent.

  • It's hard - and very painful - to think that 20 years ago we relegated these bastards.

And yet such has been the change in fortunes here they are now in a European final (albeit a crap one).

I hope I'm still around when our fortunes change again.

    My wish list for tonight.

    Palace lose

Their ultras get a fucking good hiding

Airport disruption due to some wanky EU ruling,  meaning Their fans have to stay another day in an airport where the air conditioning breaks down.

I'll leave it there but I could go on for ever

    Stripy wankpufing snotgobling  virgins.

I always want an English club to win in Europe whether I like the club or not. I even want Arsenal to win.

Really, I'm completely the opposite. I usually tend to support anybody against the English teams in Europe.

5 Live had a Rayo fan on talking about how the community of the fans, pride in the club and what it stands for etc is more important than winning.

Clinton Morrison: "Dunno if I could play for a club like that...."

Tosser.  Presumably why he spent most of his career at horrible sides like Palace, Birmingham and Wednesday.

I’m guessing their sponsor wasn’t allowed, hence they’ve written ‘Palace For Life’ across the front of their shirts ✊🏻💦💦

I'm surprised you were able to understand what Morrison had said ... unless you passed it through Google Translate first?

Clinton Morrison: possible the only person who could make Paul Merson sound like Shakespeare on Soccer Saturday.

You want a local rival to win another trophy, which will then put them into a major European trophy, and further grow their fanbase to the detriment of ours? This may sound rude, but I think you might be a moron.

Much more even than last weeks final which was ridicliously one sided.
