I can see Iraola being very interested in the Liverpool job.

Slot gone now, shame for them that Alonso just gone to Chelsea
Serves them right not acting earlier. Iraola must be the favourite there. Which is good, as hopefully Palace go elsewhere.

Surely Iraola is the obvious appointment for Liverpool? Would be really fun to see his style translate too.

Interesting to see where he ends up. Fulham perhaps if Silva does go to Benfica. Newcastle if Howe ends up going early next season?

I think they wanted to stick by him but just couldn’t pass on the chance to get Iraola.

Not a surprise really. He’s spoken quite openly about wanting to manage in The Championship. Maybe he feels he can’t do that with Stockport and/or has an offer from somewhere else.

We were reportedly after him at one point.

Can anyone remember when? After Garner perhaps.

    Might delay/stop any Tanto/Fevrier deal

That would surprise me as they publicly backed the current guy as a key part of their takeover bid. Could always have changed their mind though

All these jobs currently available and they are probably all looking for a "hands on" manager.

I don't think he would want to go to Liverpool as by the sounds of it their recruitment team are the ones who make the player purchase decisions. Slot was just head coach not manager. that whole Izak signing just didnt make any sense and I can't believe Slot was that interested in him.

Getting a bit fed up with the fans of Liverpool fawning over the face of Trivago and their disdain for Slot who got them the title last season.

Signing one of the best strikers in the league wasn't the problem, i think most managers in the league would've wanted to sign him. Their problems were selling Luis Diaz and not replacing him, and delaying the Guehi signing for so long that Palace then decided not to sell on deadline day.

you could also add they didn't replace Trent alexander arnold

In terms of bodies, they did with Frimpong. They were never going to sign another player like TAA. The issue was that their two RB’s were injured most of the season

They signed Frimpong but he spent a lot of the season injured, as did Conor Bradley.

Challinor officially gone. I have seen some suggestions that Stockport are planning to cut back on the player budget so would make sense for him to walk

Challinor will be in demand, I wonder where he'll go next. Indeed I'm slightly surprised Stockport didn't keep him to get some compensation.

I’m not sure I’d take a risk on him in The Championship but maybe a bigger League One club could.

Sheffield Wednesday? New owners won't keep Pedersen surely?

Being suggested by Romano that Iraola will become the new Liverpool Manager
Glad that he's not chosen Palace, would have been such a bizarre move for him
