I was out on Sat afternoon at the Southbank.  Walking back from the Southbank to London Bridge, hit borough market about 5.25pm, people in Arsenal shirts not watching the game.  You could argue they may have been on their way to one of the pubs in the market, but it was quite clear they weren’t interested.  Saw some on Lime Bikes during the game as well.

I reckon there’s a lot of people that have come out the woodwork for this who usually have nothing to do with the football club.

too many nitrous oxide twats wearing their shirts and getting into fights based on some of the videos I’ve seen doing the rounds on social media too.

Glad they lost to be honest.  Think it would’ve been unbearable had they won.  20 odd years ago I always wanted English clubs to do well in Europe, now the top end of the game is so plastic, I don’t care

Had to get the Thameslink to Croydon (I know) last night from London Bridge. Got on the Brighton train. Must have been at least twenty-five Arsenal shirts in each coach - possibly more, never seen anything like it. There was a fella standing with his Daughter in a Brighton shirt who'd obviously been to the Women's final - I said to him "Ah a Brighton fan on a train going to Brighton - that makes sense. Not sure what this other lot are doing?!" He laughed and some twat shouted something at me but I couldn't hear cos I had music up loud in my earbuds.

The problem I have with that club is that they are the most Entitled, plastic, armchair fanbase bar none. I don't know about now cos we don't play 'em and I'm not really interested, but certainly in the Wenger days that entitlement, arrogance and classless-ness spread to the manager and players also.

If you see someone in an Arsenal shirt you know there's a 95% chance of them being an insufferable prick.

Not to mention Referee bias (against us nearly every time I've seen us play them), the "I support THE Arsenal" bullshit, and the fact the majority in these shirts have never been to 'The Emirates' stadium, never mind Highbury- god forbid an away game. I see them as a completely different breed of fan to someone who supports a team like Charlton. But in their eyes they see themselves as absolutely superior, cos they have zero self-awareness and don't know any better.

I despise them more than any other club (very closely followed by Chelsea).

    UTTER C**TS!!!

I've never seen so many Arsenal shirts walking about the streets as in the last week & they all look brand spanking new !!! I know they've just won the league blah blah blah but is it just me that found it funny that all these "new supporters" were wandering around Lewisham & Greenwich yesterday having just lost the champions league final.

Just think people are noticing it, cause it's always been there, and of course winning a league will bring it out more

Jim White & Simon Jordan were discussing why 'Arsenal are the team others love to hate' on Talksport this morning.

I didn't get through on switchboard and my text message was never read out... cant think why!

I have no feelings towards Arsenal either way. They're not my rivals.

It's a bit like the " anyone but United" comments 20 years ago. Why should I be bothered by them?

Because they "steal" "fans" from clubs like ours.

    Not real fans they don't.
Most proper fans never change allegiance.

Hardly.  The sort of plastic fans who support Arsenal,  would follow United, City,  Liverpool,  Real, Barcelona etc if they didn't exist.

Went out for dinner on Saturday in Holborn. Really wished i'd saved room for the lovely dessert of watching them all fight each other in the streets after they lost!  :D

didn't watch the game, (did listen to extra time and penalties on the radio) as I was shopping in Aldi. There was a bloke with an arsenal shirt on in there paying at the same time as me. He looked miserable as did his partner. I just presumed maybe the game had finished and they had lost. Got back to the car turned the radio on and at that moment live Arsenal were 1 all against PSG with 5 minutes left of the 90 in a European final and that replica shirt wearing muppet was in Aldi doing his weekly shop!
He must of cheated on his missus with her mum or something. Or more likely he is a plastic arsenal fan like so many others.

Arsenal are the club non-football fans in and around London will attach themselves to. Plus when I was a kid during the Wenger years, glory hunting Arsenal fans weren't looked down upon as badly as United fans because Arsenal was at least a London club.

This enormous fanbase on show over the weekend is almost entirely built up of people who don't even check the scores on Saturday, and just say they support Arsenal to be involved in conversations in social settings.
I live in Yorkshire and you still see plenty of Arsenal around. Weird as as to me growing up, they were a locally supported club.

Pretty pathetic scenes out of Romford. And to think the moron filming is mates with the people assaulting others. Easy for the police if they want to do something about it. Think the bloke from the estate better keep his head down.

To be fair it is their first league title for a generation. 22 years since the last one so unless you're at least 27 you'd have no memory of them winning it.
Totteringham fans aged 65 have not seen one either :D

From what I could see, there were blokes coming out the pub and their first involvement was to kick someone in the head while they already on the floor, daized.

Looked like Notting Hill Carnival from what I’ve seen on the socials

Im old school, you support your local team or your dads team, and this lot are more annoying than Palace now

The funny thing is the genuine Arsenal fans, the ones that actually go to games would have probably missed the pilgrimage, sorry parade, as they were on the way back from the game

Wankers and it looks like we have a few closet gooners on this site 😂

AI estimates that Arsenal sell between 1 and 1.5 million shirts globally.  I thought I saw that many on a short drive around Bexleyheath on Saturday.
How do they all fit in the stadium?

Stabbings, 3 alleged sexual assaults and 75 rescued by the LFB after getting stuck on rooftops. Sorry but unless they had 4 legs and were called Tiddles the time wasting mugs should have been left up there
