England Lions were well beaten by 9 wickets yesterday. They have added Ben Dawkins and Ekansh Singh to the squad.
I have no idea why this is being played in the middle of the Blast. So many sides missing key players this weekend.
Or players like Tribe are playing two games within less than 24 hours, ridiculous

I saw Ben McKinney has played tonight for Durham and will probably play tomorrow for the Lions.
That is probably the reason why Dawkins and Ekansh have been brought in. I can't see how they play unless a couple of the top order of Rew, Mckinney, Cox, Tribe, Rehan, Coles and Mayes are left out and the likely candidates are McKinney and Tribe for the reasons suggested.
Dawkins and Ekansh are both playing, replacing McKinney and Rew.

England are batting with Dawkins opening and Ekansh at 7. With Cox at 3, that's three Kent homegrown batters playing for the Lions today.

ECB have released Henry Crocombe to play this afternoon for Sussex but on the understanding he joins back up with the Lions this evening.
    Two-tier ECB
Won't help us when our batting is a complete mess. How on earth Leaning got a 3 year deal is beyond me. Must have the best agent in sports

It's not good viewing. England are 38-4 (including Dawkins) and Mokoena has three of them. SA have a quality bowling attack.

Whoever the home team are for each game I just go on their YouTube channel, tends to be the easiest way I found

So, Sussex won the toss and elected to bowl. Stewart in for Forrester the only change.

This is so poor, both denly and Benjamin look so out of form it’s been painful to watch

    That was painful.

Hoping AA was going to comment on the pitch & state how difficult it is to make a decent score...

This'll be a good game for Kent to win.

    Sussex 41-1 after 5.

I'm not sure that's the case but it's certainly not a belter. Batting first, it's always difficult to know what a good score is.

What I do know is that, as I've said before, I don't like us having a non-specialist batter at 7. When Muyeye and Forrester are back, there's no reason why we can't have that.

    Fight back!

43-2 after 5.4 overs, Dudgeon gets his second.

Simpson caught by Stewart off Dudgeon for 33. Leaning now in.

As a rough guide, take our score and add a minimum of 50-60 (250 in Championship matches)

    It tends to work ...

Leaning plays a poor shot to a delivery from Milnes and out for 21 (24)

    79-3 (11.1)
