BBC Sport says it's the first Grand Slam since the 1977 French Open that a former major champion has not featured in either the men's or women's semi-finals.

Nice to see lesser known players get their chance of a Grand slam, far more exciting than the usual foregone conclusions of Sinner or Alcaraz. This may give a few players the incentive they need to make that extra effort to get to the top.

I think they will still stop doing it, probably for extended periods but they have been told by the EU not to. Or told by the EU not to say they are not doing it, because it is annoying other countries because people are choosing to go to Greece instead

Will be interesting to hear Lifer's experiences - hopefully common sense will prevail!

Speaking of Emma Radacanu,,has anyone else seen her advert on TV why on earth ,other than money, does someone humiliate themselves to this extent.

NOT British of course .. the French Ladies Final .. 2 'new(ish) faces' .. entertaining match, no screaming or grunting every point, 2 players just getting on with it

Other than Norrie maybe winning a couple of matches, and possibly Draper if he is fit,Wimbledon is going to be a non event for the UK.There are just so many really good players, putting aside the likes of Sinner,Alcaraz,I just dont see any British success for years.the ladies is the same,Boulter,Kartell, will go out early,Radacanu may or may not turn up.The mens final was a superb games, the ladies was ok,I am still mystified how the prize money is split evenly,The mens final 4hours 16 minutes,ladies,1 hour 25 minutes,Sabalenka moaning about not getting paid enough, should think herself lucky that all those year ago,Billy Jean King and her mates fought for  this equality.

Radacanu taking the first set 6-0 that only lasted 20 mins, Her opponent is definitely living up to Her surname : )

A very good first set. No so good in the second and had a bit of luck, but described as a one-sided match by Annabel Croft and Anne Keothavong. But through 6 - 0 6 - 3

Boulter did very well, thought she had blown it when she lost a vital service game in the 3rd set.

Great wins for Boulter and Raducanu today. Radicany beat Cristea, current world 18

Boulter currently has just broken Rybakina in the quarter final and leads 6 - 5

Thought Emmas win was going to be the highlight of the day, then along comes Katie with a performance like that.Shows what they can do ,they have to carry this form and belief into Wimbledon and beyond.

Never seen Boulter play that well before - really raised her game.

She did,she cut out a lot of silly errors, although still too many double faults, but as in the previous round ,when she had a wobble, she quickly got over it and came back stronger.Be nice to see an all uk final.

Ever since I predicted that Katie Boulter could reach 20 in the ratings (she reached a high of 23 in November 2024 after Hong Kong) her career had gone south and at 29 years old it looked like she was a spent force but...

Yesterday was a sublime day in her career because she not only beat the in form Cristian (28th) in two quick sets but to beat the Australian champion and world number 2 Rybakina is her best ever result after a battle Royal at Queen's.

Katie's serve held up yesterday as she is prone to double faults but other than the 2nd set she won nearly all of her service games.

Emma Raducanu can hopefully win her Q.final today against Rakhimova to then play the very talented 18 year old Iva Jovic who beat Anisimova over 3 sets.

Boulter struggling. After the Lord Mayor’s show I think.

Needs to find her game quickly having lost 6-1 in the first set.

Definitely after the Lord Mayor's show for Katie today.
She started badly and then fell away and Vekic was solid and won without breaking sweat, shame as Boulter was excellent yesterday.

Two wins for Raducanu today and the semi final win against the World number 9 surprised me as Jovic has had a brilliant year yet Emma bullied her and showed what a good grass player she can be.

fair play to Katie, she had a good week, but to serve so many double faults is always going to get you in trouble.it is like starting every service game 15-30 love down.Made even worse when her opponent didnt give her a sniff of a break.Emma was superb, thought she would suffer in the semi after her injury in the earlier game, but she looked fine and really outclassed a very good young player. No reason why she cannot be champion tomorrow.
