I was surpriced Raducanu beat Cirstea and even more surprised she beat Jovic - especially with no rest days in the past few days and 2 matches only 2.5 hours apart today and a fall. Back up to world 31soapboxsam said:LenGlover said:Boulter struggling. After the Lord Mayor’s show I think.
Needs to find her game quickly having lost 6-1 in the first set.
Definitely after the Lord Mayor's show for Katie today.
She started badly and then fell away and Vekic was solid and won without breaking sweat, shame as Boulter was excellent yesterday.
Two wins for Raducanu today and the semi final win against the World number 9 surprised me as Jovic has had a brilliant year yet Emma bullied her and showed what a good grass player she can be.3 -
Hopefully Vekic doesn’t spoil the home soil party two days in a row. Would love to see Emma win the title.0

Excellent week for Emma - has surpassed everyone's expectations. Hopefully wins today.thickandthin63 said:fair play to Katie, she had a good week, but to serve so many double faults is always going to get you in trouble.it is like starting every service game 15-30 love down.Made even worse when her opponent didnt give her a sniff of a break.Emma was superb, thought she would suffer in the semi after her injury in the earlier game, but she looked fine and really outclassed a very good young player. No reason why she cannot be champion tomorrow.0 -
Vekic outclassing Raducanu in first set.1

Credit to Raducanu for turning things around in second set.0

Can see Raducanu losing this in two if she loses the next game.0

However this finishes, Raducanu can take a lot of confidence from this 2nd set1

whenever Vekic hits through the ball with confidence she usually wins the point0

and the championship...0

Raducanu will be disappointed not to have closed out the second set when leading. Second set was certainly a battle between them.1

i think the longer the 2nd set lasted the more the love first set was significant1

Disappointing today but overall a good week for Emma which will hopefully set her up for a decent run at Wimbledon.2
