    Cracking breakaway goal by Australia. Türkiye with a great chance hit straight at the ‘keeper, Aussies up the other end and score.

    Oof what a shot and an excellent save at the other end. Plays for Sydney FC, might be worth a scout if he can pull off saves like that.

    That was a proper day of World Cup football: two surprise results, two tournament favourites giving us some great entertainment and Haiti playing some excellent stuff too. Can’t wait for tomorrow now. Netherlands v Japan should be a belter.

    Been focusing on the Highlights rather than watching the games late
    Scotland got away with it a bit, and got helped by Brazil / Morocco drawing, the fact they only got one goal vs. Haiti could hinder them getting third if they dont get a result in their last two games, as they'll end up having negative Goal Difference which'll be so important
    Glad I didnt bother with the Qatar vs. Switzerland game
    Impressive from Australia, dont feel so bad about that Watford lad scoring against us @ Vicarage Road now, cracking performance from the Goalkeeper

    That is because everyone else is awful.  Haiti’s team is a bunch of below average players in the French/belgium/ mls leagues of loose Haitian descent.  Scotland is only slightly better.  Let’s be honest neither of these teams would even be in the World Cup under the old format

    A lot of players are choosing to play for ancestral countries, just to play in the World Cup, Isidor being yet another French player, who only chose to play for Haiti in March. I bet he wouldn't have done that if they hadn't qualified!

    Annoying that the BBC spoiler free highlights missed the key moment of the Scotland game, which was Dykes coming on.

    This may be an unpopular opinion, but I always want Brazil to fail in the World Cup. Nothing against Brazilians, but I just find it nauseating the way everyone jizzes in their pants over them, even when they’re not all that. 
    And qualifying from South America is fucking ridiculous. Brazil (and Argentina) basically have a free pass every tournament.
    That 7-1 shoeing they got from Germany in their own backyard in 2014 was a thing of beauty. That Sideshow Bob looking Chelsea berk in tears was hilarious.
    Brazil tried their best to feck it up this time. 
    And yet, still qualified!
    When you look at how many times in the past that established footballing nations like England, Italy, France, Spain and the Netherlands have failed to reach the finals, it’s criminal how easy it has been for the only two major teams in South America.
