I said at the time when Edwards left Middlesbrough for an inevitable relegation with Wolves, that it was a strange move. However i felt he did quite well there and would've had them as certs to go back up with him there.

The new guy casts some doubt on that. He might be great, he might not, no one knows. His record doesn't look good though. 7 jobs in 7 years.

    Varzim - 9 games.
    Academica - 14 games, sacked.
    Chaves - 12 games, sacked.
    Moreirense - 7 games, resigned.
Pacos Ferreira - 30 games, sacked, then went back 3 months later. 20 games then resigned.
Moreirense - sacked after 8 months.
Gil Vicente - in charge since March 2025. Led them to 6th last season which to be fair is very good for a club of their size

    First sacking in the Championship.

Not if Watford have anything to do with it.

Now Trippier is apparently considering cancelling his move.

I don’t think they’ll go down, but I doubt Wolves do as well as you’d expect this season.

That is hilarious. Should have stayed at Boro.  Could have got them promoted, finished what he started and managed a full season in the PL.

That's them relegated to League 2 then. Bloke hasn't got a clue. Or should I say, he hasn't got a Plan B.

Didn't he take a other French team to Europe for the first time in their history?  I worry he is a decent manager.  Crazy AC Milan went for Amorim ahead of someone like this guy imo.

Alessio Dionisi is the latest "permanent" head coach of Watford.
"Dionisi was sacked by Serie B club Empoli in March after only five months in charge following a run of five wins in 22 matches"

    "
Alessio has been on our radar for a long period and we are really pleased to have reached an agreement with him," sporting director Gianluca Nani said.

Leicester fans are definitely unimpressed by that appointment as the general consensus appears to be that they don't have the players who can play the style we all know Martin will play.

I honestly don't get the fuss. Ok his teams have a lot of possession but when it doesn't really amount to anything then what's the point?

MK Dons - he finished 19th and 13th.
    Swansea - 15th & 10th.
Southampton - got them promoted via the play offs, but pre-season they were tipped for automatic promotion. Sacked in the PL after 1 win in 16.
Rangers - probably the worst manager in their history, and also the shortest-serving. Sacked with them sat in 8th.

How does he keep getting jobs?

This pretty much sums up a Russell Martin team.

"At the culmination of the 20-21 season, only Manchester City and Barcelona had a higher average possession percentage in Europe than Martin's MK Dons. His team also had the most touches in the opposition box in League One, however they had mixed results and finished 13th in the league."

Sounds like the Leicester hierarchy have wanted Martin for a while but I just don't get the fit and I don't see the ownership willing to invest the type of money you'd need to get that Leicester squad to be able to play the Martin style.

Feels like this is last chance saloon before he ends up in MLS or something.

The fans will turn after they have 76% possession and 27 shots at home to Burton Albion but lose 2-1 to two defensive howlers trying to play it out from the back.
