Leicester fans are definitely unimpressed by that appointment as the general consensus appears to be that they don't have the players who can play the style we all know Martin will play.

I honestly don't get the fuss. Ok his teams have a lot of possession but when it doesn't really amount to anything then what's the point?

MK Dons - he finished 19th and 13th.
    Swansea - 15th & 10th.
Southampton - got them promoted via the play offs, but pre-season they were tipped for automatic promotion. Sacked in the PL after 1 win in 16.
Rangers - probably the worst manager in their history, and also the shortest-serving. Sacked with them sat in 8th.

How does he keep getting jobs?
Sounds like the Leicester hierarchy have wanted Martin for a while but I just don't get the fit and I don't see the ownership willing to invest the type of money you'd need to get that Leicester squad to be able to play the Martin style.

Feels like this is last chance saloon before he ends up in MLS or something.
The fans will turn after they have 76% possession and 27 shots at home to Burton Albion but lose 2-1 to two defensive howlers trying to play it out from the back.
And he wont change. His Saints side in the Prem was painful to watch.

Absolutely can't see it working. No chance they walk the league anyway , even less so with Martin

Alessio Dionisi is the latest "permanent" head coach of Watford.

I think Dionisi will last one season !

    Until the Autumn.

Wow.  Someone who's never played or coached outside Oz or Asia.

Bizarre. Not sure what they were expecting Oxford to achieve last season, and if they thought he failed, then they should have sacked him 6 weeks ago.

Must have been more going on there. Tensions around recruitment?

More like he's got the hump they sold Mills today and probably can't have any of the money to spend.

Not much of a move for him, might as well stay at Stockport.

It was only a matter of time before he was considered for a Premier job.

He might be the only challenge to Burnham seeing as Wes Streeting has picked his hat up after throwing it into the ring last week.

Oxford in talks with Aaron Ramsey, quite a risky appointment if they do it

It's will be interesting who Strasbourg replace him with, seeing that the last 2 coaches appointed by Blueco have both been English.

He must interview incredibly well for them to appoint a rookie in such an important season

Yeah, but at least it is exciting! Fans will be excited by it. The problem for him is that they, like so many clubs who recruit rookie managers, will probably sack him the second it gets a bit spicy. Plymouth were the exception to that rule last year by staying with Cleverley after a terrible start. Nearly rewarded them with a play-off spot and puts them in a stronger position to attack the league next season.

    Hmmmm, ex Norwich.
I can see this ending in tears very quickly.
Very shrewd on the part of O'Neil thinking of an early pay day.
