Annoying.  I mentioned him earlier in our own transfer thread as someone I would have liked us to go for.  Another shrewd Millwall signing imo.  They really do have their recruitment nailed.

Yeah this is another annoyingly good signing for them. Type of profile I thought we would have been in for.
What sort of player is he? Don’t know much about him tbh.
Any young player coached by and regularly playing for Graham Alexander is gonna be pretty good

Box to box type , seems to only score screamers. Really good on the ball. Will be interesting to see where he fits in with the likes of Mazou-Sacko, De Norre and Billy Mitchell if he's given a new deal.
Exciting. Apparently we’ve been tracking him since his Everton days.

Surprised Gallen missed Ellis Simms then.

How do you know he did? We’re not going to get every young player we track.

If only we had their head of recruitment…
No thanks, might be a good negotiator but proved time and again how he’s not a good talent identifier

Gallen had no idea who Simms was when he was here. I mentioned him to Gallen who replied that he hadn’t heard of him. It’s not referencing anything of his time at Millwall.

Apparently Norwich are spending 3M on Sam Field shows how much it costs to buy average players at this level

£1.5 initially, rising up if Norwich get promoted. Still seems much too high, for a player who couldn't get in the QPR team.

A dream name for sports writers. I look forward to bad boy headlines when he gets sent off or gives away a penalty, and golden boy ones when he scores the winner.

#dcfc transfer news - Derby are close to agreeing a deal worth around £6m with Red Bull Salzburg for midfielder Bobby Clark. Club is hopeful of Clark undergoing a medical later this week if talks continue to advance. Was Derby's Young POTS last season after joining on loan

Not a transfer but Swansea now have access to Jamestown Analytics (Tony Bloom's company) so we should see some funky transfers over there

Signing a Guadeloupean player is so old hat, we had Racon back in 2011.

Had the mighty Roussillon this season as well - How can you forget his contribution to our campaign

Concerning to me is the number of foreign/overseas players arriving in the lower leagues. I apprecite they are probably 'cheaper' than UK born players, but so were Japanese cars and look what's happened to the British car industry
I can see a day in the not too distant future where there are hardly any Britsh (especially English) professional footballers left. Still there's always 'Football Manager' and Subbuteo

Disagree, our academies are producing better players than previously. I see a lot more home grown players getting contracts abroad in the future
