Isn’t Levy a company associated with Daniel Levy of ex Tottenham fame?
I have spent some minutes searching for a Levy menu without success.
Does anybody have a link to their food choices?

Thanks Clive. I found that page before, but struggled to find a normal style menu there, as in a list of dishes and their ingredients with prices.

I think the Sous Chef ad is for the training ground

Confirmed that Gather & Gather are going and Levy are taking over (Subsidiary of Compass Group).
I've now got the hospitality brochure which I haven't read yet.
Here's an advert for a full-time Sous Chef for the Stadium. https://jobs.compass-group.co.uk/job/75795846

G & G merged with CH&CO group who then absorbed into Compass group, and Levy is part of Compass.

So in theory G & G are still in the picture

Interesting thank you. That would explain something that didn't make sense to me - that a Levy chef was already in the building and working with G&G.

Levy are a pretty big outfit that do a lot of event catering. Yes they have “absorbed” G&G so it’s not a change of contract in that sense. Hopefully there will be a bit of a look with fresh eyes at the overall F&B offering, not only hospitality.

It's quite sad when you hear of so many first hand accounts of how hospitality has been below par and for so long. The potential for income is huge when you consider we have three home stands all with potential hospitality offerings. Of course it's not helped the last 20 years on the pitch hasn't been great but there can't be too many clubs in The Championship able to match us yet no doubt our hospitality income is probably way down compared to others.

This season i've been to Bristol City, Hull City, Coventry, Southampton and Sheff Weds away games all decent sized grounds and all quite similar to The Valley in terms of capacity. Yet all of these grounds were only able to offer hospitality in one stand and that's with three of those grounds being built since The Valley was last redeveloped and Bristol City as good as rebuilt too. I think we sometimes forget just how much hospitality The Valley can offer and definitely needs doing better.

Here is the hospitality brochure for 26/27 if anyone is interested.

A couple of things of note.

First the big price increase for "new" people over those renewing.  For example. in the 1905 lounge that's £495 plus VAT each. Second, you'd have to hose down a significant amount of booze to make the included drinks option a worthwhile addition.  Car parking in the West Stand car park is only available to renewing members (other than those booking Lenny Lawrence suite/boxes) at £750 for a seasonal pass.  (Perhaps indicating that the Fan Zone is being increased in size?)

I don't think I understand the rationale of the price differential between "renewing" and "new" - it seems excessive to me but perhaps that's an indication of the renewal price for 27/28?

And it seems that one of the reasons people are being evicted from Block D is that there are currently a significant number of people using the lounge who are currently in Block C and they'd need to be moved to benefit from the new, wider, padded seats being installed in Block D.

Finally, from the CAD graphic of the refurbished 1905 Lounge there will be banquette style seating.  I assume these are not movable and that the lounge will no longer be available for events such as large conferences, parties, etc which will presumably be confined to the Fans Bar in the Covered End.

Those new padded seats in Block D will look lovely shimmering in the sun without anyone covering them to spoil the spectacle!

Interesting though, as we used to occupy seats in Block D I wonder if I would be considered new or renewing? Not that I would consider either as an option.

Looking at that hospitality link, and looking at the link in the archives, there is constant reference to food, that it will be a course, or delicious, or a treat, but absolutely nowhere is there any kind of menu.
If there was a menu published then, for example, somebody with a food allergy could look at it and see if it suits them.
The stance caterers take about ‘who has special requirements’ suggests that there is a mainstream diet for most people (which there probably is) and that others are an awkward problem (which they probably are in the eyes of the profit driven).
So until the caterers publish detailed menus, they will miss out on the custom of a minority of fans.
Anybody know the food offering for the latest Lennie Lawrence dinner (which came in at over £100)?

This has been my problem. As I have stated on here before, I’ve given up trying to speak to anyone, as I would expect them to not be interested in an allergy, as you stated Jose.
We will spend our money locally still, but not at The Valley regarding food/drink.

As the Cutty Sark Station is now open again (we train over from Essex), we have decided for this season to try a different restaurant/pub in Greenwich before or after most of the games, depending on kick offs. I’ll still use the Pilot as well, if we walk from the O2 (either walk from Greenwich or O2).

Amazing really, as I can enter 95% of food premises and find or be informed about allergens instantly, as per the law.

Some interesting differences between that brochure and the earlier one that was produced. (See my post above). I understand this is because the refurb of some of the facilities is either not happening or will be happening late. (Maybe during an international break - who knows - but it won't be done for the start of the season anyway.)

First the base price for Club 1905 has gone down by £100. (I assume other options are also reduced?)

Second there's no mention of enhanced facilities, presumably because they won't be.

Third no mention of padded seats in Block D. Last I heard these were still happening but the work was more complex than they envisaged - we shall see come the start of the season.

Bartram’s was previously known as Floyds when first opened in the late 1990’s and was advertised as a Sports Bar and diner.

Floyds is the new name for what used to be called the Vista Lounge.

Just been chatting with my partners son about the catering at the new Everton ground........ he went there for a rugby tournament recently....... and I thought some of you would be interested to hear about it.

The food and drink is all pre-prepared and ready for pick-up...... to access it you go through a turnstile and are charged £5 to go through. Everything is £5 and up so your fiver is 'spent'.
There are cameras that record everything you choose and when you exit, the system calculates the total and charges your card again, less the initial £5.
He said it's fast and brilliant, although the rugby was an all-day tournament so perhaps it wasn't a typical half-time melee.

I haven't heard of this one before but maybe some of you will have experienced it somewhere. Anything that can alleviate or eliminate that half-time bottleneck would be great.
