    Just seen Grace Pervades with Raplh Ffiennes and Miranda Raison, very good I thought, new play by David Hare based on a true story of Victorian Theatre developing and the characters involved in the Lyceum. Great performances by the leads in particular.

    Took my daughter to view Reading Uni today, on the way back and have decided to book Beetlejuice tickets for tonight

    Another one who saw Stranger Things with the family just now. 17 yr old, 11 yr old and missus and I who all watched the TV show thought it was absolutely fantastic

    Saw Cyrano de Bergerac, with Adrian Lester, on Wednesday (missed England game, having booked long before fixtures came out – doh!). Superb. Heartily recommended.

    Got my Stranger Things tickets as apparently that closes at the end of the year, and also seeing Cloud 9 by Caryl Churchill at the National. This big one on the to do list is Cursed Child, but I'll need to sell the house first.

    I got tickets a while back from the Friday Forty lottery thing - was trying for years on it before getting lucky, mind, but luck of the draw, it could work a lot quicker and it's literally pressing two buttons once a week:

    We got second row, centre aisle, £80 for two tickets for both parts rather than the £300+ they were up for online which is a stupid amount of money and I wouldn't have been able to afford or justify!

    Saw Ride the Cyclone at the Southwark Playhouse last week.

    Bit of a cult show and have fancied seeing it for a while. Pretty good black comedy telling the story of 6 Canadian Teens who die in a rollercoaster accident and end up in purgatory in a weird Americas Got Talent type contest trying to get the one spot available to live again.

    Agree totally, mind you I believe it’s had a total revamp including fitting AC which was needed.

    Two nights of theatre for me (would have been 3 if the England semi was not on Wed).
    • Glengary GlenRoss @ the old vic tonight 
    • Beetlejuice The Musical @ prince edward theatre tomorrow
    Looking forward to both for different reasons

    Got tickets to see Trainspotting in a couple of weeks. I generally cannot stand musicals but am hoping this could be good.

    We are going next month. We saw it a couple of years ago and thought it was pretty decent. This time we have pushed the boat out and bought the dearer seats.

    I thought it was hilarious but then i find south park and team america world police hilarious as well.

    I thought it good, but I was shocked that in 2026 there hasn't been more adverse comments trying to change some of the jokes.

    If anyone is a fan of beetlejuice (or comedy musicals like Book of Mormon) I can highly recommend the musical. 

    Great fun and excellent performance by actor playing bettlejuice (and others).
