Based on this performance so far, I actually think if Ghana gave it a go they might of actually got all three points and be sitting nicely top of our group

Saka either isn’t fit or just has absolutely lost it.

Guy is running in shit and can barely strike the ball.

    Get Spence on for Quansah.

Just then Saka burst forward - I want 2 or 3 waiting in the middle….

    Nobody there anyway

You can see how much poorer England's midfield looks without Rice.

Why did we extend Tuchel's contract before this tournament

Feels like when we get in good positions we are too happy to win a corner instead of going for goal. It's like we've drilled into ourselves too much (or believed the hype) that we are good at set pieces and they will be the key for us in this tournament. Not so much so far.

Need someone to actually drive forwards with the ball and create openings.

Too static at the moment from the middle.

Shouldn’t have got the job in the first place.

Saka has beaten his man a couple of times but has decided to shoot instead of crossing which could have been the better option
yeh his decision making has been off tonight

This midfield is all over the shop too.

    Massive gaps everywhere.

I wouldn't have given him the job and jave never really warmed to him but surely its a bit early for all that? We're 32 mins in. Win this and we top the group give it time. This is what people were calling for after the Southgate era.

I still don’t understand that. There was absolutely no need. Bloke hasn’t been tested all qualifying campaign and has lost against the only decent team he’s played. He bangs on about wanting us to play like a Premier League team with high intensity and speed in attack. I’ve yet to actually see that from his England side. And the squad selection for this tournament? Ridiculous.

Konsa needs 4 or 5 touches on the ball every single time.

Our defence has been suspect over all three games. I don't think it's too early to question him. We can all see what will happen when we come up against a half decent team in this tournament

Have said for a long time that Pickford will cost us at some point
Well if you've been saying it for a long time...

What were we calling for? Looks like the same old, same old to me. I didn’t want him because he’s a foreigner. I always want an Englishman to manage the England team.

This performance so far feels like a Southgate performance, the only difference is our defence looks more suspect, what has Tuchel actually changed apart from personnel and formation

The alternative is to play a back 5 and 2 defensive CM's as Southgate dod to make us solid and then just hope for a moment of magic from one of our talented attackers. The overwhelming message was calling for someone who would play attacking football, that was always gonna make us open at the back. Incredibly rara, almost never at international level can you have both.

Southgate was the original corner and penalty merchant. Seems we're stuck relying on that again. Lack of chance creation an issue.

Our new attacking approach is as exciting as watching paint dry.  Oh for a run in behind, or skinning a defender and pinging in a pin-point cross or just a defense splitting pass…….till then it’s pretty samey, pretty slow, pretty dull imho.

I think O’Reilly is a really tidy footballer, but this inverted Wingback stuff is killing us.

We only look dangerous when we go down the wing.
