I'm expecting a turgid game tomorrow but us to get through by the odd goal.

Mexico would be my real worry at their home, not necessarily playing them, but the altitude and the occasion......would fancy us against Brazil if we both get that far.

Argentina in the Semis would be fun

Absolutely no excuses tomorrow. Pretty sure Atlanta is air conditioned as well.
    It is

Saw earlier where they said the temperature forecast at some stadiums could hit 40 degrees towards the end of this week.

It is. One of the newest NFL stadiums out there.

Timber's penalty for the Dutch was one of the worst i've ever seen. Along the ground and about 3 yards wide, not sure how you even miss the target by that much. Also no idea what Summerville was doing, how did he not look up and see the keeper had moved over to that side.

    Great night of football though.

Pleased that Brazil went through, i always feel a world cup is better if they get to the later rounds.
Germany losing a shoot out for the first time since Euro 1976 is incredible.
Morocco deservedly beating the Dutch, they had so much of the play and Verbruggen made a couple of unbelievable saves to keep the Netherlands in it.
Nothing against you Chris, but this is the sort of thing people say about Brazil that winds me up.
The Brazil love-in is one of those things I find unbearable. And when they’re not even all that good it makes it worse.
I’m always happy when they go out.
Well i hope they won't be going any further than the quarter finals but i still quite like Brazil, probably because they were top class when i was a kid growing up.

Also quite pleased Japan went out after reading that their goalscorer Sano was part of a gang rape a couple of years ago but paid the victim off so it never went to court. The Japan FA excused it as a "personal mistake". Not exactly what i'd call it, scumbag.
    Ooh. That’s fucking grim.

We’ll have to disagree on Brazil, but after hearing that story, yes I’m glad Japan are out too.

As someone said in the comments, got to feel for other people who are staying in the hotel for work/other reasons.

I'd rather do that than throw pints in the air every time we score

You do realise you don't have to do that.. but just imagine if you're the only one not getting involved in that rowing chant thing they do. Just standing there whilst they all sit down and pretend they're Kirk Douglas

More personality and more unique than anything we do as fans.

They could sing a song released in 1969 by an American instead, I guess?

Yeah if only the lazy bastard released it in 1966 it'll make a bit more sense.
Na I don't like that either. Still we have erm... Pork pie sausage roll come on England give us a goal..

Diomande is annoying me by clearly failing to position the ball correctly at corners. The ref made him move it twice, which is quite right. Scrunch faced murphy called him a pedant, but where do you draw the line if you let that go every time?
But big thumbs up for his TC style headband.

I'm going to record a clip of the hydration break booing and play it every time I go to the cupboard for a beer.

Murphy is such a miserable git that even his cat engineered a daring break for freedom. Well done, cat!
