    Tieleman’s got ahead of the defender, was stepping to plant his left foot at the pitch of the ball so he can open his body and side foot it towards goal with his right, but he is denied the opportunity to kick the ball with his right because his standing leg is kicked away. The Senegal player had to make the desperate lunge to try and stop a near certain goal but he lost the race and it’s a clear foul because of that. I know Belgium aren’t popular on this forum but that was a nailed on penalty and would have been a free kick anywhere else on the pitch.

    Floodgates of nonsense open now, refs that have experience of major games will have to sit out by default because their nation will be involved, so someone that refs in Tunisia gets a World Cup quarter final by default. Surely just use those that can handle pressure games
