Think I’ve just broken my record.
£8.50 for a pint in the Crown & Sugar Loaf in Fleet Street.

Its a Sam Smiths pub, I always went in them years ago because they were cheap.

Going to make this pint last.

In the mid 90's I used to use The Chandos on St Martins Lane quite a lot, it was always good value even though the range was limited, but that was known with a Sam Smiths.
Be pleased you were not in a round.
Btw @Radostanradical will be proud of you.

Yes know the pub. Thinks it’s still going strong.

Going to The Golden Lion to see some mates on my old manor in Sydenham later this month. Last time I went there, 18 months ago, 4 pints was £27. Saving up for the next visit....

Nearing the £5 pint here in rural Lincolnshire.  Making a point now of pint and pub lunch on a regular basis as they need the cash and I don't fancy missing out on a watering hole after a walk.  All the pubs near me publican owned and free houses.
    Whereabouts are you fen?

That sounds about normal. Assume the Moretti is about £6.50 a pint (£13), the bitter was probably £5, the Rose ~£9 and a couple of quid for the lemonade.

Going for a beer in England is a rich man’s game now.

£9.40 for a pint of IPA in the Coach House, Picadilly. Couldn’t believe my eyes. I was very careful not to spill any.

That's a bit top heavy.  Sydenham needs a Spoons there.

In Greece now, it’s about €4 a beer which is basically £0 I think.

It’s getting so bad I’ve heard that when the strippers walk around Browns with their pint glasses they would actually prefer a Madri in there than pound coins

I've been told they have those hand-held devices so you just tap your card now. Apparently.

The youngsters of today will never come to learn what "a pond in the pot" means!
