I think so - firstly on a technicality - he wasn't celebrating a goal, but rather was with every player, squad member and staff member after the final whistle. He was at that end of the ground not because of a decision on his part, but because the whole organisation were with the fans. Secondly, it's clear from Tuchel and the other players that he is in the squad as much for what he brings to the camp as to what he can add on the pitch, though he can do a job there as well. You could argue that, if he is a waste of a shirt, then so are the 6 others that have yet to play, and are unlikely to get any minutes. 

I would think about putting Burn in the middle of defence to deal with Haaland in the air and Konsa at right back.

57 mins in and I've done no work and my colleague is still slightly drunk from watching at the pub. Wouldn't have it any other way though

On holiday in Devon. Went to the pub until 11, went back to our room and waited for the broadcast to start at 12, heard the game was delayed an hour and we were so knackered we just went to bed. Woke at 3AM and watched the second half. Tremendous performance and fair play to the referee, under a lot of pressure (and with the help of VAR) got the big calls right in that second half.

Still fuming at FIFA cheating for the USA. Something has to give.

They also cheated letting Ronaldo in right away when he still had two more games to miss. The goals he scored in those games shouldnt be included in golden boot discussions, imho. Petulant preening prick. (not you)

Think Madrid is a tough place for a young player to go. Feels like with the weight of expectations on all their signings there has to be a bit of a Galactico or billy big bollocks attitude just to survive there.

We have grounds to call up Don Gianni and request a suspension of Quansah's suspension. It's a red card all day long but so was Balogun's. Neither were intentional actions by the player to hurt the opponent. 

He hit him studs up, red card all day long and if there is now an ‘iffy’ opportunity to get a red card rescinded/postponed then it’s far better to bank it in case of need for a later round if we keep progressing

Thats the thing. There should be no opportunity. The suspensions have to stand but FIFA are corrupt wankers who openly bend the rules. The lack of self awareness the likes of Infantino have is staggering.

I defiantly agree with your last sentence. If you pick players for what they bring to the squad then do that, just take them along for the ride and don't include them in the named squad, call them coaching staff or great blokes to have around. Hendersons minutes against Panama weren't that good, not quite a headless chicken but included a poorly taken corner and a lot of pointing. I'm not fan of his, (who'd of thought that), or some of the other choices in that squad. But thats football, I enjoy a good moan and a shout at the telly even when we win. I know Tuchel knows a great deal more than me and he's the one who has to account for decisions made. I just feel we miss out sometimes with sticking with "safe options" that don't really inspire the imagination or have the ability to do the unexpected.
Very good performance by the team last night BUT the same problems are still there as in the group games and against Congo where we looked somewhat tactically lacking and a bit too predictable a lot of the time. We rode our luck a little at the start of last night, it could have been a different story at halftime but we broke well and took our chances. When I've had my nap later on I'll probably wake up and start remembering the time Norway beat us.

I'd concentrate on stopping the balls into Haaland, I don't think Burn will be able handle the striker.

Have to say I disagree with this - I think Tuchel got his tactics spot on. I think it cannot be understated how difficult a match that was for us.

Same routine. I was in Barcelona for a rock festival (Bad RKO had been.put back an.houreligion and The Offspring - great evening) and got home with half an hour to spare only to find KO was put back for an hour so I had a quick siesta and woke up for the second half. To be honest it felt as if I was asleep and dreaming but felt sooo good  at the end. Up the pub for the next one.

I was talking about all the matches not just last nights. First half against DR Congo was up there with Belgiums first 85 minutes v Senegal. The Ghana group game is easily forgotten as well.
