You can take the boy out of the Spurs, you can't take the Spurs out of the boy.sam3110 said:Sanchez the Centre back taking it now, misses0 -
Amdouni scores0

If that had hit the bar, bounced down and hit the keeper's bum and gone in, would it have counted?0
-
Campaz, just squeezed it under the keeper0

Awful from Akanji1
-
Now the Swiss centre back is taking one, misses0
-
Why let a centre back take one when you have strikers on the pitch?! Muppets0
-
That’s a really good save0
-
Hasn’t Akanji missed a couple of high profile pens?
I can’t understand how he’s their 3rd best taker.0 -

Why have they both given penalties to centre backs who've missed them before?
Asking for trouble.1 -

Switzerland can beat Argentina. Colombia just don't have the same tough mentality to pull it off.1 -
Argentina playing Cape Verde, Egypt and Switzerland to reach a World Cup Semi is nuts.
Can’t have been many weaker runs than that.If Egypt had won we’d have also been blessed with the bracket.2 -

And if France, Spain, England and Argentina all win their respective quarter final, FIFA will have successfully seen their seeding plan come to fruition.
Who’s ended up with the easiest / hardest knockout path?
France: Sweden, Paraguay, Morocco
Spain: Austria, Portugal, Belgium
England: DR Congo, Mexico, Norway
Argentina: Cape Verde, Egypt, Switzerland3 -
I’d actually say England will have had the toughest route to the semis if they make it there. There’s no easy route (although Argentina probably made life tougher for themselves than necessary) but Congo are a decent team, playing Mexico in the Azteca (with no time for acclimatisation) is one of the toughest asks in international football and Norway can pose any team in the world problems with their superstar striker. If you offered me a choice of the four routes above, England’s is probably the one I’d be least up for.Callumcafc said:

Ridiculous how much stronger European football is than any other continent. UEFA should sack off FIFA have a Euros every couple of years and just invite the best team from South America & Africa to participate.2

France, Spain, England, Switzerland to make up an all UEFA Semi-Final is my prediction - I got close to getting it spot on four years ago, with England letting me down3

More bent than Darren. Wonder what the Argies would say if all the officials for their semi were English? Que?0

Start talking like Trump and thinking everyone else doesn’t matter and like the US in a few years time you’ll find that all those countries you pissed off by dismissing have taken their money that you rely upon to fund your financial house of cards which makes you the biggest and strongest has gone elsewhere.se9addick said:Ridiculous how much stronger European football is than any other continent.
