England v Norway

This will be a very difficult game for England. The Norsemen are on a roll, playing with supreme confidence and have the large, noisy, organised fans right behind them. The danger man of course is Haaland.

There are reports that Guehi is unfit. If he is or isn't Burn should play. He has the bulk and attitude to match the Norwegian darling Erling.

Both squads have reportedly had some kind of 'cold' bug running through the camps. This has, for England, meant that Declan Rice is a slight doubt.

Whatever. This time 'our boys won't take a hell of a beating' and will come out on top after a VERY difficult game.

Norway are a solid team but absolutely nothing special outside of Haaland. Their back line opened up numerous times against a pretty average Brazil side.

If we finish the chances that we get I’m confident we win this one. Another high scoring affair would be my guess.

Really well organised side that will frustrate England in the same way Ghana did. The difference is, they can and want to actually counter attack as well either way Haaland up top. I hope we take the game to them, as we did Mexico, and don’t fall into a trap of slow passing and zero movement.

I would add Odegaard to that list of one!

I agree, outside those two they are useful but not a great side. We should win but as always it's the hope that kills.

They were actually quite poor defensively I thought. They had bad Brazilian finishing/penalty & their keeper to thank for not being cut adrift before 80mins.

Couldn't be a lot worse, French AND Spanish match officials, remember Agincourt, Waterloo, Trafalgar and the Armada, revenge time is here lol.
What odds the VAR overseers are Mexican and Argentinian ? .. still if they were all Norwegian, we'd still win (just )

I like those officials. They are probably the best available and Turpin likes the game to flow .
Now I’ve said that , watch him book Bellingham and Rice .

I hope we put about 13 past them for that wanky Viking thing they do after a game - sort of nonsense I could imagine palace fans doing.

It’s likely to be slow moving as it’s an afternoon kick off, or is it in an a/c stadium?

Why not just pick officials of nationality of eliminated teams?

Not only that but Belgium could be still in it instead of Spain, so why have Trossard’s dad as the ref?

Rather just have the best refs rather than kicking out those from countries still in the tournament

  • Expecting nothing more than a very good England win, it’s  only Norway!
  • Well - if we think it's coming home, we need to beat teams like this convincingly?
I reckon we will have too much for them? 2-0 but no doubt we will make hard work of it.

Save up our best performance for the Argies in the semis........

Got a feeling Spain might struggle to beat Belgium as well....

If these 5 could keep Haaland quiet, I don't see England having an issue tbh...

We've got to hold and give and make sure we do it at the right time, we can probably be slow or maybe fast but we must definitely get to the line. Norway will always try to hit us and hurt us, whether that be by defending or attacking, there's only way way to beat them and that is by getting round the back. Norway will have to catch us if they can, because our team are England men, and what we're looking at is the master plan. There's no way we're hooligans and this is definitely not a football song but with three lions on my chest, surely we can't go wrong.

Bellingham for sure has been outstanding him and Kane have certainly turned up, Rashford has shown glimpses. I hope to see a comfortable win but don't underestimate Norway, they won every game in the qualifiers beating Italy twice and have had hard games in the knockout stages beat IC and Brazil their confidence will be high.
