I liked him. Not scared to get forward at allCallumcafc said:How did he look?1 -
I don’t think many people will mess with himCallumcafc said:How did he look?3 -
Look at who played more games in the last 2 seasons. Bell is quality - I’d like to know what our record last season was when Ramsay, Jones and Bell started. Unless one of the first two is sold , I suspect they will be our first choice back 3thenewbie said:
Because Bell has a very poor fitness record. I think Koumetio is probably earmarked for the LCB role over Mesik but Bell has shown we can't rely on his availability, sadly.wmcf123 said:
Why would you assume he’d be ahead of Bell when you’ve never seen him play ?CL_Phantom said:Like the sound of him.
Hoping he's seen more as the LCB (and think he will be ahead of Bell sooner than later personally) than the LB/LWB, although looking on the ever reliable transfer rumours he did play more games at LB than CB, interestingly, only played the one league game at LWB last season.
The important thing though, played 90+ minutes in all but 4 league games.2 -
I liked him a lot he played a few balls through the lines and looked to get forward a few times but his runs weren’t seen. If we play him and Collins our midfield better get used to receiving the ball as they both seem keen to thread passesCallumcafc said:How did he look?0 -
He’s quicker than I expected1
-
I was going to say he looks lighter on his feet than I expected for someone with his frame.Redhenry said:He’s quicker than I expected
But guess it figures considering he has played left back.

Kinda hoping we have found our own Tristan Crama…. Big strong frame but can get up and down as well3

Coming to this rather late, and showing my age a bit, but I'm surprised no-one's pointed out the similarity to a young Jimmy Hill.5

I have a feeling this lad will become a cult hero5
-
Too early to judge his ability but I like his attitude - confidence and desire to play on the front foot will serve him and us well.fenaddick said:2 -
Interesting article, even more interesting that the BBC think we play in blue.1
-
Can’t wait to see in the flesh how this fella gets on.0
-
Did like that at the Dartford game he won a tackle and the Dartford player was rolling around and Ivan looked down and just shouted at him to get up which he did !5
-
Good interview with the technical director at his last club on Cawley's substack today7
-
Really enjoyed that substack article which i would sunnarise as Plays left and right in the middle or further out, will obliterate oppo, has prem potential. Hope he's right.3

In the tiny amount we have seen him play this pre season I think Bell is a better starting option right now.
However that judgement might change after Gillingham, Wimbledon, Reading and Colchester.1 -
Might be.wmcf123 said:

I find it confusing to an extent because Bell seemed to be the Edward’s alternative last season.
Too early to make a judgement about Ivan.
Will he be a winner is I suppose the most valid question.0 -

Bell was the Best Edwards alternative - I’d say better on the ball, but he couldn’t stay fit when playing there .jose said:

Will he be a winner is I suppose the most valid question.I think whether the other guy will turn out to be a winner will depend on what Jones manages to bring in in the next 6 weeks and/or whether Kelman can actually be a 15 plus goal striker0 -
This has the hallmarkings of a statement that might end up looking insane in a few months. This chap looks decent.jose said:In the tiny amount we have seen him play this pre season I think Bell is a better starting option right now.

he wasn’t born, he was forged0 -
They even have the same name

Was uk against it with CBT but I thought it was his use of the ball and forward runs that offered most promise. That burst into the box was electric5
-
Look very good today1
-
Thought he was poor against CBT apart from one tackle. Seemed to leave the defending to Alli.3
-
Personally thought that was tactical opposed to positional awareness. Think we prioritised handling the threat instead of the service. We chose to double up on Morris opposed to CBT and needed that extra cover in the boxWeegie Addick said:Thought he was poor against CBT apart from one tackle. IMO that was a poor tactical decision then and very nearly cost us.1

Is he a left back? CBT got past him every time0
