On holiday in Turkey and there’s Scottish and Irish blokes (can tell by tattoos on them) bowling about the pool with Norway shirts on 😂

    Fucking desperate wankers.
Start getting a few 2 footed tackles in.

If they get booked make sure it is proper booking, not dissent etc...

Why oh why have officials from a country still in the tournament??
    Crazy.

Rather just have the best refs rather than kicking out those from countries still in the tournament
I thought that, once upon a time, any official whose home country had reached the quarterfinals could no longer be involved in the tournament. Which is why I was surprised to see Michael Oliver officiating last night?

Harry Kane played a round of Golf with Trump.
Maybe the new boss of FIFA will instruct his puppet Infantino to aid our progress through the tournament now.

Harry Kane really does go above and beyond for England.

I rewatched the Mexico match last night as I saw it on TV originally on holiday in Canada. Wanted to hear our slightly biased BBC commentary instead of nonsense from Kevin Kilbane who had more than a soft spot for Mexico. (Ha ha 1998 play off loser!)

After the awarding of Mexico penalty the ref did wave a yellow card and the caption on screen came up as Harry Kane booked. Yet some on here saying he wasn’t - what is the story on that please?

Mexico were awarded a penalty after a VAR review for Harry Kane's challenge on Brian Gutiérrez. The foul itself was correctly given against Kane.

As referee Alireza Faghani produced a yellow card, several broadcasters displayed an on-screen graphic saying "Harry Kane booked."

However, FIFA's official match records later confirmed that Harry Kane was not cautioned. The yellow card was actually shown to Marc Guehi, not Kane. The TV graphic had simply attributed it to the wrong player.

    The significance is that:

Kane remains on the same disciplinary count and wasn't in extra danger of suspension.

The England players walking a suspension tightrope before the Norway quarter-final are Marc Guehi, Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice and Nico O'Reilly. Quansah, of course, is suspended because of his red card.

Yellow cards are wiped after the quarter-finals, so anyone avoiding a booking against Norway starts the semi-finals with a clean slate.

NWS (National Weather Service … so their Met Office) showing a 20pc ‘slight chance’ of thunderstorms.

So by no means a guarantee but in the summer in that part of the world they can spring up at any time and often without much warning

If it goes to extra~time and penalties it'll technically be the next day. 😀

That would be a great trivia question.

I was thinking "wtf is he talking about? It was 2020".

    Covid was 2020

Supposedly Konsa RB with Madueke RW.

Should be a lot of space for Madueke to operate going forward. Konsa makes me a little nervous but looked decent enough in that second half vs Mexico.

Feeling simultaneously nervous and confident somehow.

i'm of the opinion it has always been the outside the prem/top league influencer that has done us - the Ronaldinho, Pirlo, Maradonna.

they ain't got one of those
