    It's been really messy though - Eze in middle, James in the middle and Eze wide, James back to full back, Rogers in the middle, Bellingham moving further back.  Not exactly giving players a chance to get into any sort of rhythm.

    Due to the weird introduction of Eze, we've ended up with Eze as a left winger, taking Gordon off prematurely and not having Rashford out there instead.

    Exactly. We’ve lost all width with both wanting to cut in. Norway know either of them aren’t going to go wide and the fullbacks aren’t overlapping. Too easy to defend.

    I guess, and this was always the risk with this squad, the question could also be phrased “what has Rashford offered in earlier appearances that Eze hasn’t?”

    Not for the first time this tournament, it’d would have been ideal to have at least one of Foden or Palmer there as a something different option. Especially when someone like Mainoo appears to have been written off, really one of them could have been on the plane.

    Eze has done fuck all, but pass sideways and back, supposed to be a number 10 and can’t play a penetrating ball, he is really getting on my tits!!
