Objectively - if France don’t win it, it will be a massive shock3
-
The 4 semi finalists are ranked 1,2,3,4. France not winning wouldn’t be a shock, particularly as this isn’t a league competition, it’s a knock out and it’s more about getting to this stage and hitting your form now, not looking good against lesser opposition. I think the tough matches England has had in every game so far to get to this stage is probably now going to pay off.DamoNorthStand said:Objectively - if France don’t win it, it will be a massive shock1 -
France are the one team to have won all their games so far, and you've still got to go back to 2002 to find a team that won the World Cup doing thatkillerandflash said:Looking at the 4 semi-finalists, you have one team (France) who have cruised through, playing some really good football, but none of the other 3 have been reached their full potential.
It'll be interesting if we are able to raise our game in the SF (and hopefully final) but the same can be said for Spain and Argentina.1 -
Might be a bit contentious but I feel that the eventual winner will be whoever comes out on top between Spain and France...
probably France...🤷♂️3 -

Speaking to someone yesterday and they said “can you imagine if this England team win it, there are no real stars or anyone to get behind”
Kane and Bellingham?5 -

Especially against the Argies.fenaddick said:That Embolo second yellow is the most obvious booking imaginable. Why on earth would you dive like that if you knew you were on a yellow card and VAR will check it?
The VAR team were wearing their "Give the Malvinas back" t-shirts.

Kane and Bellingham?
Cant remember rating an England player as much as Jude. Even at 23 he’s going to be in the conversation for greatest England player of all time.6 -

Jude does have that arrogance.confidence about him that the very best seem to share. He has been the player of the tournament so far for me.4

Goals scored and conceded in the knockouts:
England: scored 7, conceded 4 (+3)
Argentina: scored 9, conceded 5 (+4)
France: scored 6, conceded 0 (+6)
Spain: scored 6, conceded 1 (+5)4 -
I reckon Bellingham is a much nicer and more grounded person than his on pitch persona suggests. Even then, I think he’s a long way short of being problematic on the pitch. He has matured and moderated those tendencies a bit, but it’s also bit of a British thing to be so offended by this. The reality is, that swagger and confidence and slight “fuck you I won’t do what you tell me” attitude is exactly why, in the big moments and when the chips are down, he’s the one saying “out of my way, I’ve got this” and then he actually bloody does rescue the situation.Long may that swagger and superstar energy continue because England need him to stand tall and deliver.16

Hopefully the guy has an injury free career, if so, he'll go on and make 150 appearances for England.

How can you have Argentine officials when their team is in the other semi final. They could easily send off or book players in the France v Spain game. They shouldn't be anywhere near the semi finals.

yeah surely all officials now should be totally neutral ??4

France: Maignan, Kounde, Upamecano, Saliba, Digne, Tchouameni, Rabiot, Dembele, Olise, Barcola, Mbappe (c)
Spain: Simon, Porro, Cubarsi, Laporte, Cucurella, Rodri (c), Ruiz, Yamal, Olmo, Baena, Oyarzabal2 -
Interesting there's no Pedri again for Spain. I'm not overly surprised, given Ruiz scored, but when he's on song Pedri is just so bloody good.1

So glad this is before ours - if we were first and went out, nobody would give a shit about it. Should be a cracker.0

Twatterface, DixonDickhead AND McMoist on TV comms this evening.
Oh ITV Ambassador, you spoil us.
Expect plenty of unintelligible mumblings from Dickhead and McMoist because they'll have Mbappe's todger tickling their tonsils with Yamal's for desserts.2 -
Embarrassing for the ref to forget his line spray

How does that tackle by Olise not even get a yellow card?2

How on earth was that not a red then?1
