Oliver Cromwell founded the Thornton Heath Swamp Bandits and they invented football by kicking a boiled pig's head into a local fisherman's net that was hung up to dry between 2 trees.
On 3rd June 1647, Thomas Fairfax's cavalry seized King Charles l for the New Model Army, who later developed into the Palace Ultras.
Although the New Model Army was raised from mainly veteran soldiers with deeply held Puritan beliefs, the vast majority of them still lived with their Mum's.
Even though they were formed in deepest darkest Surrey, because the Swamp Bandits would not invent the Sat Nav until the year 1752, they were mistakenly of the opinion that Thornton Heath was actually part of South Londinum.
It's a view some of them still believe to this day.
