Tuchel clearly absolutely shit the bed last
Weds.
We go one up - then bring on Saka and Rashford to offer an outlet on the break.
Oh no - we just totally stopped playing.
Infuriating9 -

Concerning to hear he “had a feeling for Morgan Rogers” over Saka on Weds and hadn’t even realised Saka had scored a hat trick tonight. Weird.6

The attacking outlets proved themselves against a pretty much full strength French team (although their tactics were shit). Keep him for euros and then get Carrick in after two years at United.4 -
I didn’t have an issue him starting Rogers over Saka, but he should have brought him on for fresh legs on 75/80 mins and to help relieve pressure on the defence.Weegie Addick said:Concerning to hear he “had a feeling for Morgan Rogers” over Saka on Weds and hadn’t even realised Saka had scored a hat trick tonight. Who’s that tiny blonde woman giving all the England players massive hugs?0

Dislike watching us win a game and go up and get medals on that stage. What could’ve been2

England now getting Bronze Medals. What a load of Nonsense, this isn't the Olympics.5

He didn’t realise Saka scored a hatrick???Fuck off already.
Anyhoo, thank you lads you did good inspite of everything. Delighted for Jude, that last goal would have others masturbating eternally if Messi\Ronaldo had scored it.
Nite nite all.5 -
Best match of the World Cup. Best outcome, too.
And best achievement in 60 years.
Now, Go Spain!2 -
An enjoyable exhibition match where England won the first set 6-4.

Happy with third in the end, shows progress and shows we are one of the best teams in the world beyond doubt with our last 5 major tournaments being 4th, 2nd, 8th, 2nd, 3rd. Incredibly consistent compared to other big footballing nations.
I think Tuchel rode his luck this tournament and isn't the man to get it over the line though. He has an extremely talented squad at his hands, and any decent manager would have got us this far with that run.
I really hope we go all out and go for Pep. There isn't a doubt in my mind if we have Pep for the Euros we will win on home soil.
Spain are already fantastic, France are about to have Zidane, a genuine tournament mastermind, and Germany have Klopp with a talented squad.
Pep would be an equaliser, I fear we won't win anything with Tuchel.8 -
Tuchel has proven he demonstrably does not have what it takes to get a bunch of Emglish players to perform well at a major championship. Outside of the pressure games, no problem and ai expect to see some great friendly performances but kn a crunch game he will bottle it and so will the players as he can't k til any passion in them.
Bin him off.4 -
That’s only the second time that England have beaten a team above them in the rankings, since ‘66. The other time was against Spain in ‘96.Major said:Best match of the World Cup. Best outcome, too.

Good way to finish the tournament although the semi still hurts like fuck. But for Tuchel that still showed he isn't up to it. As France took control he sat and watched when fresh legs were a must. Toney really looked out of place and we tired but ploughed along.
At the end of the day happy with our best finish since '66 but our defence was suspect from start to finish and we need a better manager.
Good pre season friendly match though.2 -
Far from being Cathartic seeing England win a bizarre 3rd place game against France, it has actually condemned Thomas Tuchel.
Seeing both Rashford 1st half and Saka continuing to be the outlet for our attacks and going at the French defence it just confirmed that TT missed a golden opportunity to go for Victory in a fearless manner in Atlanta.
Can you imagine the sliding door moment as Romero and Martinez already on Yellow cards have the pace of Rashford or the trickery of Saka to face ?
Yes of course it would be on the counter attack but doing a re-enactment of the Alamo was just suicidal.
Messi and co were so pumped up they may still have won but I will go to my grave knowing Tuchel bottled it and that was the polar opposite of what he said he would do.
Tuchel talked about being brave, yet he turned England into San Marino with still 30 minutes of game time to go in the semi final.
Even last night Tuchel waited until it was 4-3 to bring the world class Bellingham and Man City bound Anderson on which made it feel even more of an exhibition match as any decent manager would've reacted so much quicker and made the changes at 4-1.

Good result and a nice win in a no pressure game.Simply have to win the next euros as it is at home and aside from Spain and France we are much better than the other UEFA nations. We play Spain in September at Wembley so that will be an interesting watch.1

I remember the game v Italy in 1990 where Shilton did what Shilton did letting Schillaci score and the Belgium game in 2018 which was awful to watch
I'm glad both teams just took the stabilisers off last night as that game was a pure joy to watch. I'm so proud of the players especially Djed Spence, he has had a rough time this tournament and has grown into a much better player because of it and left everything on the pitch each game. Jude Bellingham has shown a level of class and dominance that elevates him even higher than before if thats even possible and his goal last night nearly brought a tear to my eyes.
3rd place is probably fair and the best world cup showing in most of our lifetime and we all should be proud of that. Tuchel must have learned a hard lesson from Wednesday, at least I hope he has. We will be a threat in 2 years for the Euros6 -
I think that’s the biggest change in team quality from first half to second half I’ve ever seen. France looked like a pub team who couldn’t wait to get home in the first and looked like the team they were hyped up to be in the second.2

Didn't watch it.
Meaningless friendly.
Allowed FIFA to sell some more advertising space.
Come on Spain.3 -
As at 9:50, I wasn't going to watch it. It was only when my wife told me I had to watch it I changed my mind.
Glad I did.
All of a sudden, Djed Spense looks like a Djedi. So pleased for him. Always knew he had it in him. Hopefully Spurs aren't mental enough to sell him
now.
Viva Espanya. Viva Pedro Porro. F*ck Romero and Lo Celso. Bit awkward having Senesi in there too.4 -
Yes it was a game no one wanted to play, but dear oh dear, what a joy it would be to watch games like this instead of the sideways, backways crap we get served up most of the time. This was two reams who really looked as if they wanted to just go at each other and bollocks to the score if it went wrong. The total absence of defences would have given the super coaches a coronary. This could have been 10 all,so I finish ,thankyou France and England for the best entertainment of the last 5 weeks making us forget some of the mind blowing dross we have had to put up with.1

that was like two boxers just swinging at each other in the 12th round2
