Eventually he'll get one right as he regurgitates everything he hears as if it were his own words.
  • To be honest I think this season is for Leaburn, as far as far as his Charlton career is concerned pretty much make or break. He’s 23 and played a lot of games and although it’s been badly disrupted by injuries he has to break through this season. Assuming he has an undisrupted pre season he ought to be firmly in contention to be a starter. If he’s going to become a bit part player then I think his best option would be to move on to where he’s going to play regularly. I’d say based on what I saw last season in league one. Time enough to come back but I’m having my doubts that it’ll be with us in The Championship.

Given infinite time, a monkey with a typewriter would eventually write the words of Shakespeare.

Agree I think it’s make or break. Kelman being injured has potentially given Leaburn a big chance early season to show he’s a championship striker now, let’s hope he takes it

We all know he's  a troll but he's not abusive.

Leaburn and Kelman looked good together .  I think if they could play 35 games together , there would be good results .  However ..

    Diversity of thought
  • Conor Coady is keen to return. However, a return is very unlikely to happen as things stand
Won’t have many takers so will likely still be available at the end of the window if we haven’t been able to get other targets
  • Conor Coady is keen to return. However, a return is very unlikely to happen as things stand
Done a very good job for us at the back end of last season but is he what we need moving forward, I don’t think so. Thanks for the info though mate.

    Bosh.
  • Conor Coady is keen to return. However, a return is very unlikely to happen as things stand
Really? I'd welcome it but never thought it was a possibility because he has a young family that he wouldn't want to be away from.

Why is the move unlikely to happen as things stand?

Is this through us not wanting him?

Got to be his wages, no way we spend that on him

Wrexham will be willing to pick up the majority of his wages, otherwise they will end up paying them all as he won’t sign for anyone unless they do that

To be fair , you said Ben Reeves was a good player
  • Spoke to an ex employee of the club last week who still has very good contacts within the club hence the reason I not posted till now ..cause I think one of our targets he was telling me about has signed for Swansea ( 6 mill been quoted ) .. New Zealand international who played for Motherwell he said he would have broken our transfer record , but he did say that NJ requested bigger wage structure which the owners have agreed , that should see a former player return now we know it’s Grant and most likey  our first 25k plus a week player. NJ very happy at the club and on the recent tour one of the owners turned up and spoke to the players about the season ahead. He believes Apter will stay and Jones and Ramsey contracts are not a problem .. only bids received are for Kanu.
    Absolute Rubbish!
  • I’d be chuffed to get Coady back. We know exactly what he can do and although he might not be the answer to us being more attacking we have to accept that in an awful lot of games we’ll still be well and truly on the back foot.
  • Would guess Coady has been told he's not wanted at Wrexham but wages and location with his family will always be massive stumbling blocks to move even if he liked it with us .

Can you teach me how to be easily pleased .  I don’t mean that as a criticism.

Ben Reeves with no injury issues would have been a proper asset to us, yes
  • As well as  Coady did for us last season in a totally defensive set up he wouldn't suit what we appear to be doing now. We need high energy and creativity in front of the back four.
