CAST is pleased to announce that on Wednesday 12th August - just ahead of the new men’s Championship season - we will be hosting an evening with Rich Cawley, Henry Winter and Ben Ransom - three writers and broadcasters who make a living from asking the questions and sharing informed opinion about football. All have agreed to turn the tables and answer Addicks fans’ questions in a live Q&A webinar (kick off 7pm). If last year’s event is anything to go by, the Q&A will be well attended, lively, informative and entertaining.
The webinar is free and is open a to all Charlton fans.

I’d like to ask a question.
What do the guys think of VAR, and should it / will it become compulsory in the championship?2 -

Smashing, thanks to whoever organized this, looking forward to it.0

Thank you. We had Ben and Rich last year too - both Charlton royalty! We like to have a third voice who is not an Addick and Henry Winter was our first option - chuffed when he accepted. He’s been a little elusive recently as apparently he’s been somewhat busy at a small event over in the States.Elthamaddick said:great guests
Just to stress this is a free event and open to all CAFC fans - you don’t need to be a CAST member to register / attend. (Though we might encourage you to cough up all of a £5 to join the supporters’ trust.)6 -
Question for the panel:
Who was your worst source? And can you tell us about a time where you got a "scoop" wrong?0 -

My question (again): why the ‘undisclosed fee’ nonsense when it seems most ‘in the know’ people seem to know the fees/wages and we are led to believe that figures are an open secret within football circles?
The argument about commercial sensitivity / competitive advantage doesn’t seem to wash.2 -
My question would be for Rich Cawley:
How do you think your relationship with the Club has changed since leaving the SLP? It seems now that you’ve been asked to hold back information, especially with ‘potential player scoops’. I say this with signings/departures being announced and then shortly after interviews with the signed/departed player being published.I just wondered if this was under direction from the Club or have you done it to foster an ‘inside track’.1 -
Thanks for suggesting Qs. If you want the answers, then register and attend the event. It’s free and open to all CAFC fans:2

Thanks so much, Weegie! I registered. But given that it's al 11am on a Wednesday, I may not be able to join in real time. Do you know if it will be recorded?Weegie Addick said:Thanks for suggesting Qs. If you want the answers, then register and attend the event. It’s free and open to all CAFC fans:

Hope you can join. We don’t tend to record these events but will do a write up afterwards.SDAddick said:
