Not based on anything but would be great if the new rb was Danny Imray. He looked decent at West Brom and still not left Palace yet. Also has the same agent as Karlan.
Hopefully tomorrow we see some ins and outs🤞14 -
Would absolutely love Imray to sign however I think I read somewhere that 8 clubs were interested and Wrexham was one of them. Hopefully we are one of the 8.mart77 said:Not based on anything but would be great if the new rb was Danny Imray. He looked decent at West Brom and still not left Palace yet. I am of course referring to Stoke, Preston and Bristol City. Bang average sides that are pure gatekeeper teams in this league (respectfully, I wish we were them) and their spend on one player will probably match our budget this season and in some cases, last seasons.
Of course Boro don't fit that bill, but they're still in the same league as us, and they're spending big sums. Irrespective of if that was funded by player sales.
Bookies have us down as 2nd favourites to go down. On squad strength alone, I am struggling to identify 3 squads worse than ours with the exception of the newly promoted trio, two of which I expect to be almost on par with us before the season starts.
I just think it's going to be an extremely difficult season and 21st would be a hell of an achievement imo with our circumstances. (One of the lowest spending sides in the league with a lot of league 1 players still)
Joint third favs to go down. It goes Lincoln, Bolton and then us and Cardiff equal (Bet365).
It's very different this season, as there aren't any teams with transfer embargos like Hull, or point deductions.
This is a far more difficult season to stay up.
Cardiff have good youngsters, but aren't big spenders. They're only money is on their keeper, was on loan with them last season
Bolton were a mediocre side, who scraped up via the playoffs
Blackburn still have an awful owner.
Pompey will still be bottom 3rd of the table
West Brom and QPR won't be much better than they were last season etc

I have nothing against the other side. I read it myself, but that is the second time I’ve been misquoted about Tutu. No issues with people disagreeing with me but at least be accurate at a minimum.John_Fitzpatrick1 said:Intresting to see who the Right Back will be if he comes in. We’re being linked by a couple of Twitter accounts to Hull winger Abu Kamara0
-
Abu Kamara, the Hull right winger, is being linked with us on X by a few sources on the Hull side.
My main memory of him is from his loan spell at Portsmouth in League One. He had a brilliant season there and looked class against us.
He followed that up with a solid first season in the Championship, but since then his form seems to have dropped off.
3 -
Most of the Hull fans think league 1 is his level and that he's gifted but lazy0
-
Alan Nixon also linked us with Kamara (fwiw) but he seems to have suddenly protected his account so can’t see the tweet0

Kamara’s an interesting one, was on loan at Getafe last season who finished 7th in La Liga but only played 13 times.
As a left footed right winger he’d fit into the 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 we’ve been using in preseason.
Had a great season with Pompey a few years ago in L1 and has only just turned 23. A talented player who’s maybe not getting as much interest after not impressing in recent seasons is the type we’d look at as they could be more affordable.
He’s also 6 ft so passes the height test.
6 -
"Kamara started playing in Norwich City's academy as a winger, moving to left back, then attacking midfielder, before finally settling as a striker"
So he can basically play almost anywhere.1 -
Not a rumour but I’d love us to look at Luca Williams Barnett from Spurs. Only 17 but is tearing up pre season for them and very creative1
-
It may be that our ‘interest’ is being used to push Portsmouth along.Scoham said:Kamara’s an interesting one, was on loan at Getafe last season who finished 7th in La Liga but only played 13 times.

Lazy doesn't really seem to fit the Jones mold, unless it's one where NJ reckons his tough love approach will get someone to actually apply themselves.sam3110 said:Most of the Hull fans think league 1 is his level and that he's gifted but lazy

DANNY McNamara said he had lived his "boyhood dream" after leaving Millwall this summer. McNamara, 27, became a free agent when his contract expired at the end of last month, ending a twelve-year association with the club. Born in Sidcup, McNamara grew up supporting the Lions before progressing through the club's academy and making 157 first-team appearances across six seasons. Speaking exclusively to NewsAtDen, McNamara reflected on his time at The Den. “It was surreal, living my boyhood dream,” McNamara said. “To be a season ticket holder, watching Millwall throughout my whole life, and then to make my debut at 22 and go on to put on that shirt week in, week out, it was a real pride and honour. “For me, wearing that shirt every week and being a Millwall fan ...
Would be a very solid rb signing though. 150 apps. Free and a local. Makes a lot of sense then use the money you've saved on attacking threat like Kamara.
