    Most of my nominations already mentioned but would add the 4-2 win over West Ham when Danny Mills destroyed Julian Dicks 98/99 season.

    The 7-6 was for me unforgettable as a 12 year old at the time,since then West Ham 4-4 Portsmouth 7-4,Middlesborough 6-6,how football has changed to the chess board we have today

    The 4-0 drubbing of West Ham was pretty special, it gave us hope that season that we'd stay up. 

    But the Donny playoff game I think pips it

    For pure Charlton Athletic reasons 05/12/92 but highlights definitely Preston, Chelsea/Spurs (same season), West Ham, Ipswich, Millwall.....

    A couple that haven't been mentioned:

    Midweek 3-2 victory v Brentford in the 95/96 FA Cup to set up a trip to Anfield - first sellout of a four-sided Valley after the return, late David Whyte freekick to win it.

    Same season 3-3 v Wimbledon League Cup second leg (after 5-4 win in first leg).

    I cant really remember any good games at the Valley because I am always sitting there bricking it.

    One that has just popped into my head  was Shaun Newton scoring in the playoff semi final against Ipswich in 1998.I seem to remember it was a lovely evening and a cracking goal from Shaun Newton.

    I'd probably go with the ipswich semi in 98 as well - there were loads of brilliant games between circa 95 and 05 and quite a few since but if i had to pick one, i think that was it.

    The roar after David Whytes free kick was one of the loudest I ever heard down there, probably only 12-13000 there and I doubt the Brentford fans joined in.

    In a similar vein, the 2-0 win over Bristol City in the 5th round of the FA Cup in 1994, which took us to Old Trafford was a very happy occasion.

    Fantastic memories as all the games mentioned I was at from the 2-0 win over Derby with Clough in charge to the Doncaster semi final when the roof nearly came off after the early goal from Bielik when I celebrated with Rhoys Wiggins who had recently retired and was watching his first game since at the Valley.
    Ironically we lost this game 2-3 but won on pens.

    Beating Chelsea 4-2 is right up there for me with Parker pulling the strings plus another thrashing of Chelsea with the Ballon d'or winner Simonsen showing his class.

    Unfortunately the excellent 3-2 win over Everton the league champions wasn't at the Valley or the Paul Williams brace against Man United when Ferguson was struggling.

    Amongst the detritus there have been some amazing games which stay in the mind and hoping we will have more to add to, this and coming seasons 🤞🏻

    I was going to say the 3-0 but that was at Selhurst so I’ll probably go with the 4-4. There’s lots to choose from 😉

    Couple of memorable others, 4-1 against Bradford, cracking goals from super Clive, Brownie and Morts, and also 2-1 against Blackburn in our relegation season, only because the last min winner from El Kak was the most I've ever celebrated outside of playoff finals

    Beating Arsenal 1-0 on New Years Day. Johannson with the goal, I think.

    Nelson Vivas missing a penalty when under the cosh but hung on.

    Luton at home was quality under Bowyer.  Bielik had a stormer .

    Has to be a premier league era game though for me .  Chelsea Boxing Day, West Ham (the 4-2 in 98, not the 4-4) , 3-3 against United .

    I can remember all those games vividly. Cardiff and Middlesbrough were also potentially in the promotion mix and there was a real feeling we  could get promoted to the top division. However Palace kept winning, whilst we only won one of our last four games. We finished 3rd in the table and Palace went up instead.

    Three years later we were relegated to the old third division!

    Too many draws that season, 2-0 up at selhurst (that was the year we walked to surrey) & just scrapped a draw. Went to Derby, played them off the park, hit the woodwork 4 times & lost 2-1. Talking of the Preston game we played them the first game the following season & again missed a penalty although we won 2-1 I think it was. That season we again finished third, unfortunately third from bottom.
