TC trying to up the tempo, good to see. I know some don’t rate him but until we sign a couple of dangerous wingers he’s an important player for us.9

Also think it’s notable that we made a bright start in the first half, did well immediately after the drinks break and are moving it quicker here too. The players clearly take the instructions well but can’t sustain it for some reason1

Don’t like to read too much into preseason, but this formation switch worries me until we strengthen out wide and in central midfield. Ideally need two wingers and two CMs but I’m expecting to be disappointed.8

Great example there of that extra bit of quality lacking - Coventry sprays a nice ball over to TC, but he has to try to control with his head and loses it.
The right idea but better players weight that pass better, and read and control it better.2 -
