The Boys of Summer 2026 (MLB)

The season opener is on Netflix worldwide, the Yankees at the mighty Giants.

Trouble is that it starts at 3AM UK time on Thursday March 26th.

Hopefully it will be available after and we can avoid the score and watch it Thursday night.

Its Dodgers to lose as ever, but i feel positive about the Red Sox.

Our rotation is up there with the best in MLB, and Roman Anthony is a total joke at the plate. Made some good trades too - we look good.

As an aside, anyone kept up with the WBC?

Kept half an eye..... half the teams are full of players with very questionable ancestory lines i would suggest.

Watched most of the US-Italy (aka Italian Americans) game the other night. Italy have a White Sox player and a White Sox prospect so wanted to see how they looked. Both homered, then Kyle Teel did his hamstring.

But yeah, it's a fun exhibition competition. It'll probably never be taken as seriously as a world cup type thing, but it's still fun baseball in March!

Saw two Giants-Padres games many years ago so I’ll always have a soft spot for them but I’m a forlorn Mets fan through and through.

Rays score 6 in the top of 6th to go 7 - 1 ahead only for the Redbirds to score 8 in the bottom of the 6th.

Finishes Cards 9 - 7 Rays at a sunny sold out Busch stadium on opening day.

I just find it frustrating as a Diamondbacks fan, looking over at LA and seeing their wage bill essentially being the same as the bottom 5 MLB teams COMBINED. Their lineup is so deep it's laughable.

Sooner they bring in a salary cap the better IMO

Off to see my first Sox game of the year on Saturday evening as I head to Dodger Stadium

Cant wait - especially as we have been on fire recently. Great venue to watch baseball as well

Seriously depressing being a Gigantes fan this year!

Somehow the Diamondbacks are over .500 despite no-one having a standout season for us, Corbin has been our best player but overall the pitching has been mediocre and we don't have any true power bats. Thankfully the Giants and Padres have been really lacklustre

We're out on holiday at the moment and have tickets for the same night!

Looking forward to it, adding the stadium to my list of Tampa, Mets (my team, we'll leave that for the moment) and Washington

Same - we are out here in Orange County where my wife grew up.... off to San Diego tomorrow, then driving back to take the kids to Universal on the Friday and Saturday. Me and my eldest going to the Sox game Saturday PM.

    Was in Vegas since Weds.

Indeed - the good times definitely well outnumbered by the bad...

Let’s go Sox…. I’ve tried telling my son that wearing a Dodgers hat is like wearing a Millwall shirt but he isn’t having it

And we turn out the lights at Dodger Stadium. 3-2 win with two huge bombs by Rafaela.
