Is this a serious comment?. CBT offered zero defensively, he cost more goals than he created. It's why he hasn't progressed. TC works his nuts off and was trusted as LWB last year.23 -
For what it's worth (not a lot!), I think if we play two wingers who can beat a player and have others on the bench to come on against tired legs then TC will have a wonderful season.
Have seen people on here saying he never got past his player but a) that's just plainly wrong and b) it was often 2 and sometimes 3 players he had to get past as we had zero other creative players so defenders just double up against him.
He was also often receiving the ball with back to goal and trying to turn, a better creative CM playing balls in behind the defence for him to run into would be revolutionary for him.
I hope we keep him and get him tied down, I could see us getting £5M+ for him next summer if so.
Leaburn has more to prove but I still have complete faith he will come into his own in the next 2 years and be worth a lot of money.21 -

CBT is in the bottom 2% of players for defensive contributions per 90 minutes last season. TC is in the top 35%.
They're really not comparable.33 -
It is "interesting" that only he and Leaburn get labelled as lazy. TC runs his nuts off every game (backed up by stats) and Leaburn presses at least as much as Kelman.Southbank said:
He also received loud verbal abuse from our own supporters. He is frequently called 'lazy', a racist trope, when he busts a gut in most games to get up and down the pitch.I am surprised he has not gone already.SouthLincsAddick said:
It’s worth checking his stats on that. Poor TC, played out of position, often the only creative outlet in the side with a huge amount of pressure on his shoulders as well as being marked by two players. People like a simple one person scapegoat to explain more complex problems, shame it has to be one of our better players. I can see why he’s reluctant to sign a new contract.eastterrace6168 said:
Is it!...I have seen TC take on and get past the full back as much as the next man thanks, but constantly try to do it again and run out of ideas, winning a one-v-one means just that, getting past and creating something from that action, I like TC and want him to do well, but he is so frustrating to watch at times...MickeyBennett said:
