Ha! I just said Addicks in my deepest voice and he looked confused for one second then laughed.

Middle of a Maccabees gig at Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds last night. My wife was wearing the original purple and green shirt and we bumped into a fellow Addick who was delighted he’s not the only one in Leeds.

I put this in the Hilidays 2026 thread, but he fits better on here

We're had a lovely time at the Four Seasons Cyprus, in June and went on a lovely 1/2 day trip yesterday the hotel arrange for guests - there were 16 of us;  4 Russia, an American, an Australian and the rest Brits.

I got chatting to a lovely woman over the lunch and it transpired we had both lived in at least 3 of the same places in Kent, Surrey and London. One of them being Greenwich, so I just thought I'd mention.....and to Shrek's usual delight (not!).......she's also a Charlton supporter!

I saw a feller, probably about 14-yrs old walking up Church Hill in Lawford on Friday in an away shirt. I gave him a loud UTA that he very definitely wasn’t expecting…

I visited a client in Brentford today. I popped into the spire cafe in St Paul’s church for a coffee and was served by a delightful young lady who was a Charlton Season Ticket holder. Never expected to find a fellow fan way out west!

I live in Puerto Plata, in the Dominican Republic. I have met a few Addicks on holiday there. If you will be there with time to waste, I would be happy to let you buy me a beer on the Malecón (seafront boulevard).

Anyone on here who jogs around London Bridge / the Shard in a Charlton top?
  • About 25 years ago I spent six weeks in Tanzania seeing an old college friend of mine.
We went on a trip right out in the sticks through tiny little villages.
Outside one mud brick hut sat an old chap and his wife was peeling vegetables.
He had an old Charlton scarf on (even though it was 30 degrees)!
I asked him where it came from (my friend spoke to him in Swahili)
He said that some British Missionaries had been through 30 years prior and given it to him and he had worn it every day since for good luck!
He had no idea that Charlton were even a football team in the UK.
I think he said his name was Golfie?
(OK that last bit was made up but the rest us true)

Had an email at work today with a large distribution. There was a photo of the author of the article who is based in Birmingham/the West Midlands - and he was wearing a Charlton shirt. Was wondering if he was on here
