From the end of last season to the start of this, would you have taken it?
On paper, it's stronger and more balanced, and more suited to the shape we seem to be moving to.
Need that final winger to be a good addition though0 -

Don't think we had a choice of Chalobahs so not surprising he isn't coming here..Cafc451 said:Trevoh Chalobah going Como we got his brother.

I’d still quite like us to pick up Jamie Allen on a free , he acts as a good link-up to the forwards and could be what we need. Attacking down the wings is predictable as is the hoof it up to Miles2

Only concern there would be has he been doing a pre-season anywhere? Can’t be signing players now that won’t be fit to properly play for another monthShrew said:I’d still quite like us to pick up Jamie Allen on a free , he acts as a good link-up to the forwards and could be what we need. It's not a " he's going" either.sam3110 said:Well that's not a "he's not going" from Cawley so it appears he's on his way
It is a carefully worded non-commital statement only saying what is possible, not what is likely or inevitable.
As ever, far too much leaping to conclusions on this thread.

Harry Clarke off to Stoke for £3.5m. Think that’s quite a lot of money for him tbh34

In the grand scheme of the championship it’s not.NabySarr said:Harry Clarke off to Stoke for £3.5m. Think that’s quite a lot of money for him tbhHe was a pretty reliable player5 -
Ipswich have done very well there17

Stoke lobbing money around like it’s going out of fashion.NabySarr said:Harry Clarke off to Stoke for £3.5m. Think that’s quite a lot of money for him tbhThat is too much for him I agree6 -
Only a year left on his deal though. Stoke are throwing money about this summer though so you’re right it’s not much to themAberystwythAddick said:

Another corker was East Angular.0 -
If I was a Stoke fan, top 6 would be the minimum for me after the ridiculous amount of money spent2
-
They will inevitably finish in the bottom half as they do every season. Think Robins will get sacked at some point this season as will be under a lot of pressure to deliverRossman92 said:If I was a Stoke fan, top 6 would be the minimum for me after the ridiculous amount of money spent3 -

I’m staying up North tonight for work, and have just driven past TC on the inside lane of the M6 at Chorley.
looked like he had Rak-Sakyi and Holsgrove with him in his Fiat 500.
hopefully just off shopping and nothing more serious.25 -

Heading to the National Railway Museum together before the season starts and there’s no spare time for hobbies.cafc4life said:I’m staying up North tonight for work, and have just driven past TC on the inside lane of the M6 at Chorley.

That deal puts into perspective TC’s value. Both have one year left, TC is three years younger, has a better injury record, a similar amount of appearances (Clarke has more in the Championship but also more in L2) and is an international player4

I’m quite a big fan of Buble (seen in concert 5 times) but he’s never reduced me to tears…3 -

I've driven 267 miles today covering Manchester and Liverpool airports. Where do I send my petrol and food expenses too?3
