I’d quite like to see us go in for Ogbene personally. Has always been a handful whenever I’ve seen him play and is absolutely rapid.

Former Luton as well so who knows.
Ogbene is a very Nathan Jones type of player. I would also say the same for Wes Burns. He may of signed a new contract but that's is so they can get a fee for him.
You mean he’s an another god botherer ?
  • Oh dear oh dear.
  • Might as well close this thread for now. Fuck all will happen whilst they sell
  • I wonder how long jones has known about this, because now we really need to push the loan market and get the best players we possibly can.
  • The question is; what does this mean for the remainder of the transfer window. Are we still keeping our powder dry looking to spend or will those targets now turn to loans.

  • Might explain why we are happy for TC to move on. Probably told Jones if he wants to spend a few million on a midfielder then he needs to make a few million by selling someone
  • They didn’t mind taking the money from 10,000 season ticket holders.

They may have been doing it for a while this is just the first the news has come out.

Probing hasn’t worked they’re looking further afield

Freebies and loans it is then for the rest of the window. Can't see any substantial fees being outlaid
    Based on what?

I think it will be loans. I reckon Jones knows he doesn’t have any money. 100% relegation

  • Going to need Jones to work yet another miracle. And his reward for it could be new owners saying thank you and goodbye
  • This wasn’t how this Monday was meant to go 😂
  • What have we been keeping the powder dry with?

  • This club is genuinely mental. We’ve been lulled into thinking the money was being held back all summer for a powerhouse CM that is so desperately needed…and instead TC is going to Preston and we are officially up for sale. It’s torture most of the time, but there is no club in the world I’d rather support
  • With another takeover on the horizon, this thread is going to either sizzle or fizzle out.

    Everything’s up for grabs now.

We’re in the play off positions at the moment. It’s not all bad …
  • Balancing act. Unlikely any sale would conclude much before the seasons end. Being rock bottom and back down amongst the dead men in league one looming won’t increase the value or likelihood of a sale. Don’t see how the current owners can allow us to start the season as is. We have a relegation fight well and truly on our hands if some decent money isn’t spent now.

If this is how it plays out and I say if, they have royally taken the piss out of the fans.
  • Well it's never boring supporting Charlton
    Sometimes I wish it was
    Oh for a normal club
  • Genuinely a bit of a gut punch for me that.

    Eurgh, here we go again
  • I’m just glad Rod Liddle didn’t have to see this
