Have we reached the point where even Championship sides now have a senior pro, non player goalkeeper?
Yeah, we've got Kaminski in that role.

Boro just spent another £7m (could go to £20m) on Ashley Phillips from Spurs.

Lincoln Bolton Cardiff Blackburn Preston Charlton Portsmouth and QPR feel like a very certain bottom 8 teams
I'm not sure QPR will be in that section they've made some good signings this summer. Lamptey, Charles, Kamara.

How are Boro, Swansea and Bristol City spending this kind of money with the new spending rules in place?

I know Boro sold Hackney and have Morgan money but they have spent 10's of millions.

Swansea just had another £5m+ bid rejected for a Spanish player and Bristol have spent 8-10m on two L1 strikers.

    Madness!

Boro are probably okay with the Hackney and Rogers money but it'll be tight and there will be big pressure on Helberg to get them up.

That’s why it makes me laugh when people go on about our owners having their hands tied when it comes to spending money. If we really wanted to spend, we could.

We are not, yet, an established championship side. I can’t see why so many people are struggling to see why we are not spending as much as sides that have been in this league for several years. Whether you like it or not, it’s less of a risk for Boro, Swansea, Bristol to have a big summer of signings than us.

Wonder if they'll keep Okonkwo and the two will compete, or if he'll be sold?

Swansea have rejected a bid from Hull for Zan Vipotnik. Makes me assume this is ultimately how they're going to level the books with their summer spree using this and the Gailbraith money

They also have Danny Ward, who I think is terrible but Parkinson seems to like, so maybe it does open it up for Okonkwo to move on...

Morsy is a decent signing from Blackburn but only making 2 others is bleak given how poor they were last season. Keeping hold of Cantwell and Ohashi is huge though. Surprised Cardiff have only signed 2 players although expect them to be fine next season

Mate of mine who's a big Bristol City fan reckons Morsy was very shit for them

I think you answered your own question with Middlesbrough. If they sign Phillips i think it'll be about 35-38m they've spent this summer.

But they got 17m for Hackney and 20m from the Rogers sell on fee. So pretty much break even on transfers, although obviously a big increase in their wage bill.

Bristol City spent 9m on Tolaj and Ballard, but that's not really a lot is it? We spent more than that last summer.

Morsy is 35 next month. He was released after 3 games in Kuwait, spent 6 months without a club, then signed a short term deal with Bristol city who then released him.

If we signed him, i think people would be pretty disappointed.

Hardie is a player I wanted us to sign last summer. Instead he got a fat contract with Hollywood, and his career has somewhat stalled.
