    1959 and #cafc make their 2nd of 6 appearances in the London 5-A-Side final. Unlike 1954, when we won the initial tournament, we lost 4 - 1 to Palace.

    Billy Kiernan's family very kindly donated his runners up medal to the museum.

    We do have a lot of Junior reds stuff but don't remember seeing that birthday..

    The bonus of the museum having this card would be the opportunity to have genuine Nathan Amato and Steve Thurlow signatures. Rare indeed.

    For those who are unaware, let me explain:

    These boards were the forerunner of the modern-day 'Players Marks'.  The back page of the matchday programme would contain a list of players individually highlighted with a letter of the alphabet.  At half time, individual ratings were displayed along the East Terrace touchline by hanging the relevant board on the appropriate letter.

    The above 'zero' and 'one' boards were generally used by the Dad of some current CL posters ... irrespective of the player.

    But we were much more critical in those days. It was very rare for any player to get more than a 3. I don’t think I ever saw anyone awarded a 10.

    Recent donation of half time score board numbers "salvaged" from the Valley after the "last game" at the Valley v Stoke.

     A score prediction for today? Who knows?

    Armed Forces Addicks are updating their flag so have donated the original to the museum. 
     is open to all #cafc who serving or former military personnel 

    The museum is open Friday 11 to 2.30 and Saturday 11 to 1.00. Free entry in Harvey Gardens.
