1959 and #cafc make their 2nd of 6 appearances in the London 5-A-Side final. Unlike 1954, when we won the initial tournament, we lost 4 - 1 to Palace.Billy Kiernan's family very kindly donated his runners up medal to the museum.

Wondering whether the museum has one of these. Junior Reds birthday card from around 1988. Happy to post it to you if it’s something you’d want.

We'd love to have it so please do post it @clem_Snide1 -
The bonus of the museum having this card would be the opportunity to have genuine Nathan Amato and Steve Thurlow signatures. Rare indeed.1

But disappointing that the President couldn't be bothered.

Too easy, Henry.
For those who are unaware, let me explain:
These boards were the forerunner of the modern-day 'Players Marks'. The back page of the matchday programme would contain a list of players individually highlighted with a letter of the alphabet. At half time, individual ratings were displayed along the East Terrace touchline by hanging the relevant board on the appropriate letter.
The above 'zero' and 'one' boards were generally used by the Dad of some current CL posters ... irrespective of the player.7 -
But we were much more critical in those days. It was very rare for any player to get more than a 3. I don’t think I ever saw anyone awarded a 10.Dave Rudd said:Henry Irving said:If you know, you know

New shirt added to the museum's collection. Part of a special presentation box produced by The Who to mark the 50th anniversery of the band's concert at the Valley.
Thanks to the Lifer who donated it.

Recent donation of half time score board numbers "salvaged" from the Valley after the "last game" at the Valley v Stoke.
A score prediction for today? Who knows?

Thanks for the hospitality, Ian and Ben. We had a fantastic day.
I’ve been lucky enough to work at some incredible grounds over the years, but today was a proper highlight as a Charlton fan. The museum is a real credit to you both, and I hope more fans make the trip to see it.
I’ll let you know when it’s on the telly. It’s always tricky doing justice to football on a non-football show, but I’ll be going all out in the edit.
Felt very proud of the club today.

Just to say the success of the museum is down to a large team of fans, never just the ones anyone sees online or in interviews.
We have fantastic volunteers who take on the less glamourous but essential tasks that keep us moving forward.
Looking forward to seeing the episode of Strictly Come Dancing when we feature.6 -
