Having said goodbye to our beast of a rabbit, Thumper, just a fortnight ago, we lost his diminutive bath mate, Binky, yesterday. For the first time in my life we have no pets. The house feels strange and empty.

This just popped up as an advert, I would imagine it would permanently traumatise your pet!

    Cat is licking it's lips.
Not sure what it plans to do?

That is so sad, hopefully in the future you will replace them.

Skip, my beautiful and loyal Border Collie is 8 years old today. We got him from a rescue home after he was given up by his owners who lived in a flat in Brighton. Not a good start to life for a working breed considering he also had a hip replacement at 18 months. We've had him for 5-1/2 years now and in that time his rear left leg was amputated as the replacement hip failed but that didn't daunt him one bit. Every opportunity has been a training opportunity and we have managed to progress him into a dog with a huge personality, no bite history and not one sign of aggression towards humans. He can stand his ground with other male dogs especially those with testicles.  Of the four Border Collie types, Skip is a Wiston Cap and managing his Border Collie DNA is a challenge but with alternative behaviours we allow him chase games providing he understands the rules. He's a great sniffer, cloves, gun oil and lost cricket balls are his best and keeps him inquisitive. He also knows his 'come by' from his 'awaaay' and I so wish I could have had him from a pup as he would have made a great trials dog and still have four legs. I am usually woken about 6am with him sitting by my side of the bed and a big wet nose poked into my ear. I will miss that when he's not here.

Remember the cheeky minx who kept turning up in my house? She's practically moved in now. Comes in three or four times a day for some fussing (and food...)

I don’t know how come it’s like this, but every cat is the most beautiful cat in the world, and every cat is the best in the world.
If only we humans could do that.

What are those 3 black units under the desk mate? Assuming they’re IT related?

Mr.Chippy the cat is going to be furious when the baby comes along in December. He’ll lose all of his prime new sleeping equipment!

Cat feeders - massive time saver and great when I go away for a couple of nights for work. My three are pretty self sufficient, come and go as they please so with the feeders they look after themselves while I'm away. Barely even notice when I come back, the bloody ingrates!

Do the Cat feeders keep the food fresh by chilling? Or do you just feed your cats dry food?

Was Mr Chippy named after the cat on Shackleton 1914 expedition ? Who was called Mrs Chippy then found to be a male.

He was indeed. My fiance's great granddad was Tom Crean who was on the ship. So we thought it was fitting! You're the first person that's ever known that bit of info! Colour me impressed!
