I'd like to think that behaviour is not at all reflective of the majority of our fan base to be honest. Most would have no issue with Charlton or anything like that, just respect. Yes Tottenham are a great, very rich club, with a marvellous history.
In Jimmy Greaves they had one of the best goalscorer in British football since the war.
They (their fans) will feel they have a ‘right’ to be dismissive and sneering towards Charlton Athletic, their fans (like Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, and lately Manchester City) have landed on Tottenham because they believe it will guarantee them glory and riches without effort on their part, whereas Charlton Athletic from our corner of London are a meaningless football club from their perspective.
Why does it bother them so much to dole out the put downs?
Now I liked the old White Hart Lane, so intimate you could smell the liniment, and always liked Danny Blanchflower with his intelligent Irish humour, he was the guy that came out with the line ‘when he puts his head down, don’t disappoint him’ or the marvellous line when Captain of Northern Ireland ‘we plan to equalise before they score’, so all in all I don’t feel especially negative towards Tottenham as some of their fans feel towards us.
Yet I lived there for four years, in such a crap amorphous mass of north London for goodness sake, the only decent feature of the place was the football ground. To the south you have interesting Stamford Hill, the west Hornsey and the Ally Pally, the east wetlands and the river, but Tottenham and going north is such a crap area only Selhurst Park's location is worse in the whole of London.
I think that might explain the sneering desperation we are now experiencing from some Tottenham fans, their geographical situation is so crap (especially compared to our marvellous historic Borough and location) and hard to get to, they want to put Charlton Athletic down to feel better about themselves. Bless.
It was nice when Tottenham fan Chrissy Powell scored up there for us to get a 1-0 win, but reading some Tottenham fans they would find it astonishing that such a result could ever have happened.
Show a bit of graciousness and class Tottenham fans, you’re so rich having been founded by a posh cricket club and grammar school boys (complete contrast to our own origin story) anything less than a 5-0 win will be a moral victory for Charlton, and our support will likely be way louder and more sustained, so try and make a bit of an effort to create an atmosphere at your new stadium for once.6 -

I went to a gig there last summer. Overground on the way there was a nightmare. That would be a good idea, also there are plenty of industrial units and other companies accepting cars. Expect to pay around £25 for the privilege.
Not like the old days, when you could park on the side roads round the back of Bruce Grove and Love Lane for free.
If using public transport, forget White Hart Lane, Northumberland Park & Seven Sisters. Quickest and easiest route back is Tottenham Hale, guaranteed a seat and a damn site quicker to get back to London Bridge via Victoria & Northern Line. Its the route I have been taking for the last 20 years or so. 1.3 miles, 20 mins at brisk walking pace.

Given the demand for this game will be similar to West Ham, I would expect the ticket arrangements to be the same with the selling phases.

Even if demand is similar supply is double, and shorter timeframe to sell them in.
