Memory serves that he should have played more games than he did for us.

Was good in the championship , or whatever that was called then.  Had a stinker away at Ipswich and didn’t play much , if at all, after that .

I think it’s just the length of time he has been out and the type of rehabilitation that’s needed with it, which means he’ll be stepped up very gradually. I’m guessing they don’t want to risk any football with him until they’re certain he’s ready. At least we now actually have cover in that area.

Since Chris Powell, we have been cursed in the LB position. The players are either great, but taken huge injuries where we never see them at their best again (Youga, Wiggins, Page, Edwards) or they're an absolute joker of a player. Was Purrington the best example we have of a LB in recent times? Struggle to think of anyone else over the last 10 years who wasn't a loanee that's done well consistently, and as we know BP had his limitations.

Ben Purr may have had his limitations but I think he was aware of those and didn't wander out of his lane to do stuff he couldn't do, unlike some who think they're better than they really are and get caught out when trying things they aren't qualified to do.

He was a solid 7/10 almost every week who defended well (OK, it was Third Division, but play what you have to) and got forward to help in attack including scoring the equaliser in the Play-Off Final against Sunderland.

Not keen to write him off, I really like the player, we've just been burnt before with left backs and injuries. Not exactly encouraging he's missed 2 initial return dates in this injury bout, could be the club being cautious but the optics don't look great imo 

Jones says Edwards is a few weeks away now and “he feels the best he’s ever felt”. Just needs 2-3 u21 games now apparently. 

Any update on young Josh? Sounded positive a few weeks ago and then radio silence, not seen him involved in the U21 games like I expected by now has me worried he might have had another setback

Kayne Ramsay (ankle), Nathaniel Chalobah (thigh), Matty Godden (hamstring) and Will Mannion (shoulder) all remain unavailable through injury, as does Collins Sichenje (knee). 

Billy Koumetio (knee), Charlie Kelman (shoulder) and Josh Edwards (ankle) are all nearing a return to fitness, although the trip to the bet365 Stadium may come too soon for the trio.

No mention of Burke? Does that suggest he is the one who didn't make the squad cut down we think or has that been a bounced and I have missed it?

Or we're following the Lincoln method of only registering 2 keepers

On the squad registration thread I thought someone had uncovered that we couldn’t just register Mannion and then swap Brooks in as “emergency” cover whilst Mannion is out injured. That being said there were so many competing theories around what was possible under the rules that I lost track! 

We might also just not registered Mannion at all and will instead get in an emergency loan if both Okonkwo and Brooks get injured, as I think that's still allowed. 

He's listed in the "medium term" list of injured players so it's not that far fetched IMO

Do you know I don't think we have even discussed the squad size thing on here, or if we have I've missed it!
